Playing!

So before 10 o'clock today we had made pancakes, ate, and cleaned up the kitchen, played cars, played dress up, cleaned up that mess, watch Bob the Builder, and even managed to play outside. Then we played with playdough until lunch time. Cole won't go down for his afternoon nap which should be so much FUN the next 2 1/2 hours til bedtime. I could use one myself but....

Coley ready for St.Patty's day! lol
His "cheese" smile!
Gotta love the boys who wanna "mow" when its snowing out.
Looks like we were in a snow globe

I got a new toy this evening!

My lens came this evening so the only chance I got to practice was once again while the boys were in the tub. I took about 40 pics and well all are blurry but 2. I think I'll need to play with it a bit. Hopefully we'll get some more snow and it won't be too frigid to take the boys out to play in the morning...I'll be playing too, with my new lens.

Keepin busy!

So last week I was commissioned by a fellow Moms clubber to make her baby's birth announcements after I sent her a "congrats" card for her new bundle of joy. It was a
bit of a surprise but I was giddy thinking of ideas for the card. When she had mentioned
she wanted a paper card I grew a bit weary of my abilities to complete such a task, but I
took it on anyway. I am so happy I did because I actually had so much FUN making
them. So this past week after the boys have been in dream land I've been busy working
on these. I finished them up last night and delivered them today. I even boxed them up
all nice and boutique style like. lol

The front of the card. (btw, the stamps I used are from www.papertreyink.com ) The middle.
And the card with the matching envelopes. I stamped them with their last name initial on the flap of the envelope like in the picture but without the paper around the envelope. So much fun!
Took this of monster man today. He's been sitting in this little shoe box size sterilite tote for 2 days now and I just saw the need to have a photo of my chunky monkey trying to sit comfortably in a box that is obviously way too small for his thunder thighs.

One week down 4 more to go!

Mommy, aren't you gonna take pictures?

said Parker as I was pouring the bubble bath in the tub. Well sure and this is what I got...love it.
What you don't see/hear here is me almost back to the door in this teeny tiny bathroom sitting on my knees and MOOING like a cow really LOUD to get them to look at me. Yes, a cow...not sure why but it is the ONLY way Coley will look at me. Whatever it takes, right? Took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese today. They had a blast using up 100 tokens and eating some pizza and cinnamon sticks (they rock). We were there nearly 3 hours. I've never taken both by myself so that was a bit of a challenge making sure both got to play. Luckily it was just me and another mom from Moms Club there for about an hour so Coley got to just roam the place. It was so much fun watching P play skee ball and LOVING it. I'm so glad I get to do these fun things as a parent too. Being a MOM totally ROCKS! lol

So let me explain why I'm always posting pics of Coley lately. He can run but not too fast and he doesn't know how to say NO yet. He can get an attitude and then look at with those big beauties of his and say Mama and it just melts my heart. His brother on the other hand knows when the camera comes out and either ignores me completely or he runs and hides...probably the smart thing to do. I guess I would probably be the same way if I had a camera in my face for the last 3 1/2 years. But anyway Coley doesn't know any better yet. Haha! So he's mine! My Uppercase Living stuff came on Monday, I delivered the orders yesterday, and well mine kind of attacked my walls today. I only have one left to put up and that goes in the laundry room. So here they are...
In the playroom (color is totally off, walls look like the other playroom photo)

And this one is probably my favorite. I love it. (Ignore the ugly white cheap builder light fixture. I really want a new one just can't fine the ONE.)

Silly boys!

Coley likes to wrestle and doesn't mind, obviously, being sat upon by his big brother. He was a laughing like crazy tonight. They both were. They were playing in the tent and would topple it over. Not a care in the world what was on the outside of the tent that they would fall on. So funny my boys are.

Tough day!

Bill left this morning for his class in Mississippi for 5 weeks. Parker broke down a bit this morning about it. I don't think he truly understands that he won't be home for awhile. So I'm sure in a couple days it will be taking its toll on him. He told me this morning, "Daddy is silly he's taking his clothes to school with him." I've had my bouts today of crying and I'm sure it will really hit me when I go to bed tonight. I usually wait up for him to get home from work. Then we talk a bit and go to bed. So anyway, we are going to get through it just fine I'm sure, but it's just these first few days that are going to be rough.

Bill and the boys this morning. This was from Friday night. Parker fell asleep eating dinner at the table at 5:30. He didn't wake up til the next morning at 7:30. I think he was tired.
P lovin on C during their nightly "dancing" on the bed routine.
Serious Cole and his crazy hair. I'm thinking it might be time to cut off the curls. Since I cut
his hair last they curl but need a bit of help everyday.

Oh I also got my haircut off Friday afternoon. I love it and its so easy to take care of. It's shorter in the back being about oh 1/2 inch at my neck and angles toward my chin. The front is at my chin. I just love it! I'll try to take a pic in the next couple days.

Happy <3 Day!

I love you boys!

Just practicing!

I practiced using my speedlight yesterday. Still need a lot of work but I have catchlights in both eyes and there are no shadows. Yay! This photo cost me 50 cents. I had to bribe him to look at me and since candy doesn't work...well!
I'm feeling pretty good now, thank goodness. Still had a little bout of nausea yesterday afternoon, but today I feel good and I've already eaten breakfast. P still had diarrhea yesterday so we'll see about today. It always has taken him a bit to get over that. Cole has been the only one to stay healthy beside a runny nose throughout the last week and a half. I'm not quite sure
how since he gets so much lovin on from the rest of us.

It's a snow day today so we may head outside for a bit and bare the bitter cold to get some more photos. lol It looks like a snow globe outside right now. Now for it to only start collecting in the grass and not just the roads/driveways/sidewalks we'll be in business.

Did I say...

we were on the mend? Um, well yeah, that is so NOT the case. I've got what Parker had. I just finally got out of bed today. Only because I'm so stiff that it hurts to lay down. Since I'm not eating I hope the vomitting will stop and nausea that goes along with it. This just plain sucks!

On the mend?

I hope so. Parker has kept food down all day and has only had one little bathroom episode. He drank a bunch of milk, ate some yogurt and butterscotch tonight and so far so good. Let's just hope it stays that way through out the night. This has been P's little palette during the day to watch his shows. Still refuses to sit in the bean bag he got for Christmas. Grrr. Today I did clean the house pretty good. I used bleach and wiped down pretty much every hard surface within reach of the boys. Feels pretty clean now. Lets hope the germs think so too and leave. lol

Does it end?

Parker and Bill are STILL sick. Parker has decided to add diarrhea to go along with the vomitting again. He did good all day yesterday and kept everything down. We thought
he might actually be better today, but then realized he was not after he didn't touch a
bite of his pancake for breakfast. We kept him home from school...he didn't mind at all.
Then this afternoon the diarrhea kicked in and now he's in the tub from throwing up.
Trying to keep fluids in him but he wants milk. He did manage to drink about 2 sips of
Pedialyte. Of course he won't eat crackers, applesauce, or toast. Grrr. So what do you
feed a picky sick person? Any ideas? He keeps telling us he's hungry and you can't tell
him just to drink some Pedialyte or WWIII starts to break out. I've tried telling him
that crackers or toast will be good for his belly but there is no reasoning with this child
on this matter.

Cole's new look!

Our little clown! No I didn't paint his nose. lol Lookin a little rough...don't mess with me!
Just had to post this one to show that Cole can touch now. Just a few months ago he couldn't touch and his legs just dangled off the seat. Thank goodness there are seatbelts on this thing.

I've got my work cut out for me the next few days. Bill now has what I had and Parker threw up last night while Bill was reading to him. So I have to sick boys to care for. So I'm hoping by this weekend we can get this crud out of our house. It's really NOT fun, but I knew it was bound to hit everyone.

Outside!

We took advantage of the 70 degree temps this afternoon and headed outside despite me being sick. However, the body aches have been gone since I took my 3 hour nap this morning. So I was looking forward to going outside as much as the boys were. They had a blast as usual. Cole wanted to go in the backyard because Cinders was back there. He'd walk to the gate point to Cinders and say "dahg!" So we headed to the back and I got the pooper scooper duty because I sure as heck didn't want to be cleaning it off the boys' shoes. That took FOREVER! I did manage to take some pictures though. Working on my focus, bokeh, and just getting good exposure. Anyway here they are. P being the ever so silly boy. He would only give me this silly face when I asked him to look at me.
Cole loves to swing. (I'm also working on my own b/w converstions...not liking either of them by the way.)
This boy LOVES mud and dirt.
And a stumble on the patio by Coley ended our playing outside. So here we have the FIRST facial injury. Notice the goose egg on the forehead and the scraped up nose. OUCH! He only cried for like 20 seconds though. He's pretty tough.

The flu?!

I'm thinking I have the flu. Why? Well because I have every symptom and this is day 3 of feeling
like a Mack truck has run me over. I hurt and it sucks. Ibuprofen only helps to ease the pain so I can get out of bed and actually see my family for a few minutes. One minute I'm freezing and the next second I'm have a hot flash literally. Ughh I don't wish this on anyone.

5 years!

Wow! It's been 5 absolutely amazing years already. I am truly blessed to have found and "chased" (this will forever be one of our FUN disagreements) my soulmate. Baby I love you and heres to MANY, MANY more wonderful years together. Happy Anniversary!
