Cutest little cowboy!
Snapped this right before I put Coley to bed tonight. Today I put away clothes that were too small and got out P's old clothes for Coley...size 12 months. Well I don't think he'll be in them long at all. Most fit him just right. Ughh. These jammies were Parker's and of course he wore them when he was a year old. Love these jammies though...so adorable.

7 months
This BIG guy is 7 months old today! He wasn't too happy sitting in the grass. Especially since he was hungry.
Cole getting a bath this evening in the kitchen sink. Can you believe I NEVER gave Parker a bath in the kitchen sink EVER! With Cole it's easier and saves my back but he makes quite the mess with splashing. (I had to use my flash in this pic because the lighting stunk.)
There was a pretty good breeze today so I thought we would do some bubbles and fly the kite. Great for bubbles, not so much for the kite. Parker would run, turn around and it would still be dragging behind him. He would get mad and throw himself in the grass and pout. I have pictures of it all and it would make a GREAT storyboard, but I'm tired maybe I'll do that tomorrow. He was actually giggling here because it was actually up higher for a second or two. LOL
Oak Grove's newest firetruck...isn't GRAND! Bill was riding it around in the driveway this afternoon and I couldn't resist taking a pic! LOL

I had to get my photo for today so I took my camera outside this evening to "play." I was metering off the green in my photos because the sun was already down (well headed there quickly). Hmm not sure if I understood the book right or not...will have to go back and see. LOL This first one is of some Mexican Heather I bought today. Such pretty little purple flowers.
This is all my planters that are on the one corner of the patio. They are pretty much done unless I happen to go to HD or Lowe's and pic up an annual for the big pot. Looks better in person.
This is the bed we've been working on for "weeks" now. Bought the bushes the other day and dirt. Turnes out 20 bags was NOT enough. Gotta finish laying the bricks on the left of the ramp too. Hopefully we'll get done with this project by this weekend. All those bricks used to be around the beds in the front of the house...gotta love reusing stuff. Looks much better in front without them. Oh and that middle bush is one that has been trained to grow on a trellis. We thought it was pretty cool. Should only get to be 8x4 which is perfect for right there.
Anyway, so that is what I have been working on lately. This afternoon I took the boys to the pool. They did very well and both of them had lots of fun. Cole even sat and splashed and had a good time. Only cried when brother splashed him quite a bit. So I think we'll be getting a pass soon.

Playing!
These are the result of "playing" with my camera this evening. I've been reading Understanding Exposure and trying to practice a little. Well needless to say these shots weren't what I was practicing but anyway. P wouldn't let me just take a pic of him from far away he insisted on coming as close as he could to the camera. I was trying to practice metering. Yikes I still don't understand that. I have figured out that I'm totally NOT using my camera to it's potential though. So much to learn. Ughh!

A good day for the zoo!
Went to the Nashville zoo again today. Since we have a membership we figured why not. It was a good day too. Not quite as cool as least week but wasn't sweltering hot either. We had a good time and this time Daddy went with us. Parker looks like he saw a ghost in the top pic. LOL He was just zoning out...probably from a skipped nap.
Pman posing in the bamboo. He knows just what to do for a good pic...I've taught him well.
Cole was just chillin in the swings while Daddy and P played on the Jungle Gym.
After the zoo we went to the Green Hills Mall to eat only to find out that my FAV restaurant is no longer there...American Cafe. That place was YUMMO! So instead we went to Carraba's which is also VERY GOOD! Today was a good day to go to the zoo...as Parker always says.

Some flowers!
So I didn't take out my camera today until like 7:30 p.m. I was busy today pruning my snowball bush out front. It was an over grown I don't know HUGEMUNGOUS bush...is that a word?! It was tall and wide. Anyway I trimmed it all up and now it looks so different. It kind of looks like how crape myrtles look instead of a ROUND bush. I'm lovin it and while I was at at I cut down the three small bushes in front of it. They should never have been put there in the first place because there are still 4 in front of where those were. Anyway, it looks all clean now...makes me happy.Anyway, these flowers I bought last weekend and planted in my pots on the patio. I love these because their foilage is a purple color.

Today's pic!
From yesterday
I didn't get to posting last night because we had a busy evening. First, Cole has decided that 6 is a better bedtime than lets say 6:30. I was also going to try and start pushing it back about 15 minutes everyday too to kind of gradually change his sleep cycle so he's not ready to start the day at 5. So the last 2 nights it's been 6 and he was ready too. Not one of those play with him and do this and that to hold him off. So anyway with him to bed Bill fixes the lawn mower and gets it working...yay we haven't used it in a couple years. So I mow and do everything but the back yard. It's now 8 and Bill was still weed wacking and still had all his tools to put away. P and I came in to eat then him and Daddy took showers. You see where I'm going here...late night. P didn't end up getting to bed until almost 9:30. I showered and then was exhausted. I went to bed at about 10:30. I tell ya this being productive stuff is wearing me out! LOL
A couple Parker funnies for ya...
Bill tells me that last night while he was fixin the weed wacker (it's a trend with all our stuff NOT to work) that P comes up to him and says "nothing run likes a DEERE Daddy!" OMG is that not hilarious. Bill said he busted a gut laughing. I can only imagine how serious he was too. And Bill fixin the weed wacker was after he had fixed the lawn mower...both of which are CRAFTSMAN...they suck by the way.
And another from this morning...we were making pancakes for breakfast. As I was flipping his pancakes I asked him if he wanted butter and sugar on them. He turned around in his seat and said, "I already told you!" (with attitude)
me: You don't have to be smart about it!
P: I didn't mean to be smart about it! I already told you I want butter and sugar.
Where the heck did he learn to talk like that? I tell ya that kid is too smart for his own good.
So anyway those were his two funnies the past 2 days.
The pic is what he does day in and day out. Plays with cars and "parks" them. He also talks to them. It's so cute...like hey man do you want to come with me? Let's go over here. I'll do this. Soooooo cute.
Anyway, it's time for him to take nap. Cole is already down and hopefully he sleeps for more than 30 minutes.

Productive day...
started out at the doctor's office with Cole this morning. His stats are 18 lbs 14 oz 27 1/4 in long (you were right Steph) which is both in the 75 percentile and then he's 65% for his head. Yep we got ourselves a biggin. LOL. He's been in bed since 6 not feeling well. Had a low grade fever and just really fussy so I gave him some more Tylenol, fed him and then he was out. I don't think he's moved an inch. Poor thing...he barely cried for the shots, yay!
After that I decided to go to Lowes to get some plants and potting soil for our planter. Well I got some plants and most were 75% off. I love a deal. I ended up not getting the soil because P decided he had to throw little tantrums throughout the WHOLE store and garden area. Fun. Then we came home and planted some flowers (while Cole slept) and cleaned up his water/sand table and actually put sand in one half. P loved that. Then while both were down for naps this afternoon I got a wild hair up my butt to pull up all the fabric with the mulch that was under the swingset. (We discovered termites in it in the last week.) That was more FUN. Just an FYI don't ever put mulch under a swingset. It's so gross all the termites, ants, spiders, mole holes, and who knows what that thing was that scared the SH** out of me. I had goosebumps on my legs that were HUGE, it was so gross. It kind of looked like a little snake but wasn't, if that makes any sense. Just YUCK! So anyway Bill came home and helped me finish but that's not it we found a HUGE nest of fire ants. Double YUCK! I cannot believe I let my child play back there. I'm half tempted to just plant some grass and not worry about pea gravel or rubber mulch and all the critters that live in it. So anyway today was rather productive outside. I did manage to cook dinner and do 2 loads of laundry too. It's amazing what can be accomplished when both boys sleep for at least 2 hours at the same time.
Anyway, the first pic is "I'm a good helper, Mommy!" He drug that hose all over the front yard to water the flowers for me. Isn't he sweet. I told him to water the Magnolia because it's looking a little sad. The second is him playing with his table now filled with sand and water...instead of mud.

Biter biscuits!

Today Cole had his first biter biscuits! I actually thought he would get messier than this, but he didn't. He also tried a sippy cup and actually managed to drink some water out of it a couple times. However, he thought it was cooler to bang it on the tray and then throw it on the floor. Nice. He also discovered that the biscuit made a pretty cool banging toy. Gee seems like just yesterday it was my boy Parker sitting in that same very seat eating biter biscuits. Now it's Cole. Wow is all I can say! We're off to enjoy the great outdoors. Have a good evening.
Oh please keep Coley in your prayers tomorrow morning. He has his 6 month visit at the dr. He tolerated the shots better at the last visit. I hope he does the same tomorrow. Any guesses on how much "chunk" weighs? I'll post the stats tomorrow.

Have to share!
Took this of Pman this afternoon...LOVE IT! Look at those blue eyes too! I've noticed his eyes have kind of gotten darker the past few weeks and they just have this twinkle to them. Since I've been admiring them I wanted to get a pic and today I did. I can't believe he actually looked and SMILED at me today and didn't even say CHEESE!Zoo pictures!
Sorry about slacking lately. Had guests then Bill was on the computer ALL DAY yesterday and part of the day today. Has inspections at work today so he's had to get all his records up to date. The joys of being a supervisor.
Anyway, these are from the zoo on Friday which was also my mom's birthday. We had A LOT of fun and I think she did too. We are just glad we could spend it with her and hope it was a fabulous birthday.
The elephants. They had their hiney's to us for the longest time and then a zoo keeper walked out and threw treats so that is what they are doing in this pic...searching for the treats.

Just playing with my camera settings here trying to capture the moving water. I've been reading Understanding Exposure. Great book by the way...makes me want to play ALL THE TIME. I wish I only had the time.
An alligator. They were small about 3-4 feet long. Most of them were all on a rock piled on one another....YUCK!
Gramma and Cole. They had bamboo everywhere...totally awesome and made for some great shade. It was a totally beautiful day about 70 and was actually a little chilly for Cole in the shady spots.

Cole and Parkeman still have runny noses. I don't think Cole feels well again today. He's in the hold my I just want to sleep in your arms kind of mood today. Hopefully he'll feel better by Wednesday so he can still get his shots at his 6 month dr. appt.(although he'll be 7 months in about a week...they screwed his appts. up) I really don't want to have to go back.
Not much else going on here. Trying to get my pots for the patio filled with flowers. Mom and I went to a little roadside nursery Sat. and I got some really nice ones...not enough though as they were on the pricey side. Hmmm....oh and we are also thinking of getting a pool pass for the summer. The pool we would go to has a large kiddie pool that P had a blast at last summer. I figured we could go in the morning for an hour or 2 a few times a week. It would be about $7 for just the 3 of us each time w/o a pass so I'm thinking we should get one.
That's about all that's on my mind right now. Hope y'all have a good evening!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
Just a quick HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! We started the day off with breakfast in bed then headed to the zoo for the afternoon and out to eat. It's been a LONG day. I took many many pictures and am to exhausted to do more than download them. I'll get to that tomorrow.
Happy 50th Mom! Hope you had a WONDERFUL day...we did and are glad we could spend it with YOU!

Sick baby!
I have a sick baby and he is miserable. I've been holding him all day. He was restless last night and was up almost every 30 minutes to an hour. At one point I had Parker on one side of me and Cole on the other and then it was Daddy. I'm the one that had NO ROOM...so that meant no sleep because I was worried about P falling off the bed and worried about Cole staying asleep. Anyway, I didn't sleep at all. I did however to manage to close my eyes for several minutes at a time. He's been running a fever all day long, it breaks for an hour or two then it comes back. I think I finally have it under control this evening. He's been in bed since 5:30 and so far is sleeping well. Saying a little prayer that he sleeps like that for the rest of the night.

My baby boy!
Thank you Amy so much for giving me a little tutorial on PS. This is what playing with it for about an hour (takes me awhile at first) looks like. Much better than the wrinkles, but I should have added a black border so it would be more defined...sorry! Anyway, love that the background is white and not nasty wrinkled gray. Thanks Amy!
Took these of Coley today while brother bear was sleeping. I don't know why I try the white background it always looks nasty gray...doesn't help that it's wrinkled either. I'm not that good in photoshop so here it is with a b/w color action on it. That doesn't help the wrinkles though, oh well.
Him and Parker have horrible colds again. Cole was up almost every 1 1/2 hours last night because he couldn't breath. Hopefully they get over it quickly so we can all get some sleep again.

I'm back!
It's sooooo good to be back home! Maybe I'll finally get to sleep tonight. Didn't take a whole lot of pics this weekend, but these are a few I thought were blog worthy...LOL! Parker was getting anyone and everyone to push him around the yard in the cozy coupe car Saturday...looks like either Maggie was roped into pushing or she was telling him to get out.
Love this one of Maggie. She was saying "bye-bye!"
And Cole passed out in Gramma's arms after he was baptised in church.
It was so good to get out and have Mommy time on Friday...thanks girls I enjoyed it mucho.

Sorry no pics today. It was kind of busy...could've taken my camera to the park, but didn't. Would have been perfect lighting too. Oh well. Anyway, my loyal blog followers I'll be seeing most of you this weekend. Cole's baptism is Sunday and hopefully I'll get some good pictures to post on Tuesday. Have a GREAT weekend and to all those Mommies out there.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

It's a good day...so far!
So far no tantrums. We've could have had many but we compromised and well since we are at home I can walk away and totally ignore him. LOL No he really hasn't been too bad today. I know it's a normal 2 year old thing but all of a sudden...gee whiz.
We spent the morning outside mowing the grass before it got too hot and that has kind of tuckered us all out. The boys are down for naps and I'm headed there shortly.
Took this pic of Coley this morning when he woke up in my bed. (When Bill leaves for work he brings Cole in bed with me to nurse and we normally go back to sleep. Cole's up with daddy at 5 and hangs with him while he gets ready for work.) So he was happy and trying to look out our bedroom window since I opened up the curtain and blinds. Gotta love those fingers and LOVE those big eyes!

He's still up for grabs!
Pman is still up for grabs. He pulled another major tantrum at the park this morning. Only this time we had a HUGE audience. The park was packed to say the least, with about 70+ parents/kids. He proceeded to throw another fit like yesterday...needless to say we left. Only after I left his bike at the side of the road and managed to drag him again to the van. A nice dad brought his bike and his Croc to the van as I was buckling him in his seat. I was in tears again and also called Bill. Then my Mom called she must have sensed I was about to ring his little neck. Thank goodness for his sake that it takes at least 20 minutes from most places in town to get home. So no pics today. We came home at a super quick lunch then went down for a nap at noon. Cole and I followed and we all slept til 3. Then my Pampered Chef was delivered so I got that all together and started to deliver it. Really no time today to pick up the camera.
Say a little prayer for us that tomorrow is better. PLEASE! :)

Any takers for a 2 1/2 year old boy named Parker?!
This little cutie is a keeper so far...ask me again in 2 years when he is Parker's age and I might change my mind. ;) His big brother, however, is available to TAKE NOW! GRRRRR....that boy has some MAJOR ATTITUDE. This afternoon we went to a few stores and he proceeded to throw the BIGGEST fit in 2 of the 3 stores. Oh not just a little one either a HUGE, you can hear him screaming throughtout the WHOLE entire store, kind of fit at Kohl's. Took everything I had not to bust his little arse on the way out. All the while I'm holding Cole who has fallen asleep in my arms (we are in a big car seat now and I took the stroller out of the van...smooth move huh!) Anyway, I kept telling P lets go after the 4th time I grabbed his hand and said let's go. Well that's when it all began. To top it off I ended up pretty much dragging him because he wasn't going to walk and was just hanging...you know how kids do it. So we get up to the front of the store and I go put away 2 necklaces and a bracelet I was going to buy. I pretty much dropped him off by the doors and left him at that point...still screaming. So as I am walking back to him his is trying to knock over a display. Took everything I had not to spank him at this point. And you can only imagine all the people looking at us during this whole big fit. So then I grab his hand to go to the doors and yep again did the hanging manouver....so I had to put him down open the door then grab his arm again to lift him to the next door. Thank goodness for one of the clerks who so nicely held the door for me as he tried to go back in. I'm not sure how I managed to keep my cool through the whole situation and how he didn't even manged to get a spanking. I tell ya the good Lord was looking out for him or me or both of us. Geesh! I was in tears when I managed to get them buckled into their seats. So after me saying all that I'm sure theres someone that will take the child in right?! Thank goodness he's sleeping now thats all I'm saying.

Today started off pretty rainy and then got HOT and STICKY! Yuck. We drove around went to Toys R Us...got Cole a big car seat. He's just too darn heavy to carry around in that infant seat. Then we went to a little carnival they had in the mall parking lot. We decided to stop since I had cash and since Parker was oooing and ahhhing over all the rides. He rode 4 things and then had a melt down because he wanted to ride the alligator coaster. We were out of tickets so he never did ride it because initally it scared him. He was running on empty since he had no nap though. Then we went to dinner at Chili's...it was rather enjoyable with the 2 boys since one had no nap and the other didn't have his LONG nap. Now both boys are in bed sleeping and Bill's at a fire call. Hmmm what to do.Anyway, the photos are when we got home this evening. Parker was tired can you tell?! Then I decided to put Cole in the jeep with P. He enjoyed it at first. Well until I got the camera. It was hard to take pics and follow beside the jeep to make sure Cole didn't fall out. I guess that's why the jeep is cut off in the pics.

Da boys!
Here are da boys! LOL taken this afternoon outside. Gotta love this one of Parker...never actually looks at me and smiles that big ole grin anymore. Check out the catchlights too! Go me. I'm getting better...LOL! And of course little Coleman. He was tired and is now napping...no smile. Gotta love all the drool too and the wet ring around the neck from it. His latest thing is spitting. It's not even blowing bubbles it's down right spitting. Everything in a 3 foot radius gets soaked. So if you want a "shower" without taking one, he's your man. LOL
Off to figure out what's for dinner. Ugh!

Sorry this is one from the weekend...I've been working on them. Love this one...and it's so CLEAR and SHARP. Love it. Love the look on my brother's face, the twinkle in his eye. So sweet.
Didn't pick up the camera today. Went to MOPS this morning then came home and started to mow the grass in between fussy moments with Cole. I managed to get 2/3's of it cut before it managed to start raining for the following 4 hours. Nice. I also planted the petunias out by the sign. So something got accomplished today. Yay me.
Anyway, Grey's is on...love that show.

I managed to get 2/3's of it cut before it managed to start raining for the following 4 hours. Nice. I also planted the petunias out by the sign. So something got accomplished today. Yay me.

All tuckered out!
The quality of these photos are really poor...I know. (did a little vintage action on them too)The lighting was BAD and it's raining. Parker laid down to watch Diego and I turned around because he was awfully quiet and this is how I found him. In fact he's still sleeping like that too. I just hope he doesn't go potty. Ooops speak of the devil...he's crying. Then after I found him I put Cole down who fell asleep in my arms. Two peas in a pod these 2 are.

This photo is actually from yesterday. Just didn't have time to post it. Quality time with my hubby is more important. We were hanging out yesterday by the garage and I heard all the chirping coming from the holly bush...this is what I found. A nest full of baby birds, about 5 of them. Had to grab my camera and get a picture. The other birds in our grill, I'm sad to say, I don't think made it. I've found 2 eggs on the ground by the grill and the unborn chicks inside...so sad. We also checked inside and there are 3 eggs still in the nest but we haven't seen Mama or Daddy in a couple days. I'm wondering if maybe it's gotten too hot in there the past few days with it reaching like 90 the other day. Not sure how hot is too hot though. On the positive front we may be able to get our grill back...for what it is supposed to be used for. LOL
Cole has been a fussy gus lately. I think he is cutting a tooth, but it's not through yet. I looked today and his gum is a little white. Let's hope he's cutting teeth. So before long he returns to his normal happy baby self.
One last thing HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON! Our neice Peyton is a whopping 4 years old today. Hope you have a great day!
