My baby is 6 months...cry, cry!

Can you believe it? He's already 6 months old! I had to do a little shoot today couldn't resist. Didn't get any smiles because he's still learning to sit and took 2 spills. Well after that he was scared to sit so his arms straight out at his sides. He wasn't too much of a happy camper today. He did sit in the bathtub just fine though for about 15 minutes tonight, then took a spill as I was standing up so I could get him out. I also think he's cutting a tooth. My baby is growing up...I don't like it...cry!

Thanks for all those who ordered Pampered Chef from me! I appreciate it greatly...made out like a bandit too!

Here it is...love this one!

These are actually from yesterday...didn't touch my camera today. This is my brother, Steffen, and his girlfriend Liz. They wanted me to do a shoot for them before they parted ways for the summer. I took them downtown yesterday evening and we had a blast. It takes a lot for Steffen to smile for pictures for them not to look goofy, but I think I got a good one. They were awesome and totally did their own thing. Such a cute couple they are. I have another cool silhouete one of them kissing but I still need to edit that one...maybe tomorrow.

Busy, busy weekend here. Maybe I'll get to rest this week...LOL! Oh Amy, does #3 look like Tara W.? I was so totally going for that look in that one.

Off to get some zzzzzz's. Night.

Tea Party!

Parker went to his first real tea party today. Molly, a neighbor, turned 3 on Thursday and had a tea party birthday celebration today. I wasn't able to take him so Daddy took him and Cole. Bill said he had a blast.


I spent yesterday evening and this morning at a Me in Mommy conference with Lisa Whelchel. Some may remember her as Blair on The Facts of Life. Yep, I got to meet her. She is an AMAZING woman in many ways. If you every get a chance to go see her you should. It was an awesome experience.

This evening I'm going to take pics of Steffen and Liz...before they depart for the summer. Hopefully I'll get some good ones...totally gonna try and be www.tarawhitney.com this evening. (wink).

Coley enjoying the swing yesterday afternoon. He's still not feeling to well...poor guy. Must be something going around because some friends down the street their little girl has the same thing Coley does.

My Pampered Chef party went well I had 8 (with Sara) guests with a total of 10 people in my little itty bitty kitchen. The food was scrumptious too. Oh and if you would like to order I'm not closing my show til Monday. So there is still time...(wink)!

Cole laying in Parker's tent today. P insisted that he be in the tent. Luckily the light was coming in pretty good...normally it's really dark in his room. Cole hasn't been feeling well. He's all congested and was up several times last night because he couldn't breathe. Poor thing! I wish I could just make him better.

Tomorrow's my Pampered Chef party so if I haven't posted a pic early in the afternoon I have a feeling that one won't get posted. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Isn't this just adorable? This is actually the box that the mirror for the bathroom came in. Parker picked it up and said "Look I'm a robot!" It was too cute and Bill captured this picture of him with it.

Finally, I finally captured some AWESOME catch lights in Cole's eyes...too bad he wasn't looking at me. Oh and I get the WORST MOMMY of the YEAR award today. We were at Hobby Lobby and I had Cole's carseat on the cart and as we were walking out it got caught on the door and the whole seat with him in it fell upside down on the ground. I about died and screames OH MY GOD and scooped him up as fast as I could and got him out of the seat. I was shaking so bad and a lady that was looking at furniture about 3 feet from me just ignored my scream and went on walking in the store. Anyway, I think the handle saved him from getting hurt really bad although he did have 2 small red marks on his head...not really bumps though. Poor thing I still feel so HORRIBLE for him. It startled him more than anything...but thank GOD he was buckled in. It just keeps replaying in my mind. Funny thing is I had him in the basket part up until I picked up 2 scrapbooks and couldn't carry them, push the cart, and hold onto Parker so I put him up where the seat is. Ummm never again will I do that. Scared the living tar out of me.

Been organizing my scrap space still. It's coming along and I think it will work so much better for me. It's amazing how much space packaging for products takes up. Geesh!

Parker wanted to sleep in his tent in his room tonight. I can't wait to see if he's still in it. He's never done that before. We'll see.

My 100th post!

Wow, 100 posts can you believe it? So today I spent the afternoon winding ribbon while the boys slept for a few hours...yes both for a few hours. I just love how this ribbon looks so YUMMY now! Maybe I'll use more of it too. Now I just need to find some cool glass jars to store them in on my desk.
This is the layout that won the page contest. We were given a bag of goodies when we got there and we had to use everything that was in it...4 different papers, thicker alpha stickers, rub-ons, and 2 kinds of ribbon. I was sneaky and used the punctuation from the alpha stickers for the center of 2 of the flowers...the style really didn't appeal to me. (the black at the bottom is my stand I used to hold the LO not part of it, LOL) Oh and my MIL took the picture as we were headed out to dinner on our anniversary!

The preschool tour was great. We liked it a lot and so now I just have to fill out all the paperwork and get that all to them. They also have a summer program too for those that are going to be starting this fall. We are totally doing that too. Parker wanted to stay at "school" today and it broke my heart that he couldn't. He's so looking forward to it. I am too but it's gonna break my heart the first day I drop him off. He's just growing up WAY TOO FAST!

Sorry no pics today!

No pics today sorry! We were busy today with landscaping. We took all the bricks along the ginormous flower bed out front and moved them to the back to make a planter along the shed. Ugghh my muscles hurt. Now I know why lanscaping is hired out and EXPENSIVE. It sucks big time. BIG TIME. Anyway, in between carrying each brick one by one (wheel barrow broke) I was taking care of Cole. Two kids makes any project 5 times as long I swear. The front looks A LOT better without the bricks now we just need to lay down fabric and get pine straw. We aren't doing mulch because well it just doesn't last very long. The rock selection in our area also SUCKS big time too or we would get river rock. They just have that ugly egg rock here. Not quite the look we want.

Yesterday at the crop was AMAZING. I got to know Nichole Heady better (Papercrafts Mag., and Papertrey Ink) as we scrapped together. She is just a wonderful person and we will definitely be hanging out more. Our hubbys also work together that's how we met. Anyway, she is just so much fun and an FABULOUS stamper too. ;) I actually got 8 pages completed and WON the page contest. Go me. Go me. LOL It was a lot of fun and I'll be going to more crops for sure.

Anyway, after seeing how organized Nichole was I went out today and spent $20 on organizing stuff for my space. We'll see if this helps me. :)

I'm out and hopefully I'll take the camera out tomorrow. Oh and tomorrow is our tour of a preschool for P. Can you believe it preschool for my little boy?! Hopefully it all works out and everything looks good...it's at the Lutheran Church down the street and the one I like too. So much better than driving all the way across town...saying a little prayer that everything works out.

I'm off to organize.

Creek stompin!

Today Carmen invited us to go to the park and creek stompin with them. Parker just wanted to play in the creek and kept asking about it the whole way there and the whole time playing on the playground. So we finally get to the creek and he is a little leary at first then gets comfortable walking in the water and starts throwing rocks and picking up twigs. By this time Cole was out like a light in the van sleeping...all the fresh air I guess. We had fun this morning although it wore me out too.

Won't be posting tomorrow as I'm going to be at an ALL DAY CROP from 9-9. Ughh never been to one. I hope it's fun...having a hard time deciding what to bring though to work on. I'm starting to miss the kids and I haven't even left yet. That's pretty sad coming from a mom that stays at home all day everyday with her kids, huh?!

I'm tired going to try and get a little nap in so maybe we can go to the River & Spires Festival down at the riverfront this evening.

Today after MOPS we went to Hobby Lobby and got paints for his "new" paint stuff I got him at a consignment sale on Monday. He was excited about it all, but it took him a bit to start painting. After a bit he wanted to do what Mommy was doing. LOL Cole was just chillin in his carseat by us. Him and Daddy had just gotten back from an errand and that is where he landed. It was a family affair and we had a BLAST!

I hope my picture shows up...looks like a little red X right now. Tried it twice I have no idea what's wrong. Anyway, it's what P did all afternoon and evening...dug in the dirt.

Went to the park this morning. Had a good time then went to Walmart. Pman missed his nap today and was exceptionally good too. Surprising these days. Then it was playing outside with Daddy, dinner, and walk. Good day!

Today was just beautiful! Spent some time out this afternoon digging in the dirt. Parker's favorite thing to do. He had fun digging and playing with 2 wormies...I don't think they survived though. Poor things.

Finally got back to our Sunday picture of me and the boys. To get Parker to look at the camera I had to tell him to close his eyes then we said 1, 2, 3 LOOK AT DADDY! He enjoyed it a lot! It didn't take long before Cole decided he didn't like big brother screaming! LOL

So yesterday while on ILP I downloaded this cool action. It takes a picture and turns it into how a canvas wrap would look. For pros it gives their clients a glimpse of what theirs will look like. Helps in the sales dept. ;) Anyway, I had to play with it this morning. I ran the an old canvas action on this photo...love it...then I did the box wrap. Isn't this cool?!

I thought this picture was fitting for today too. It's raining again! A wonderful gloomy day.

Self portrait!

Ok both boys actually took a nap this afternoon at the SAME time...woohoo for me. So I decided to whip out the camera and do another photo shoot of ME! Well most were horribly blurry...this one is too but I did a little photoshop work on it ;) And I also tried a different way to color boost. I spent the morning reading all the photoshop stuff on ILP. There is some GREAT stuff on there by the way. So here it is...nothing great just a fun shot on my RED couch (love it!)

Oh and really quick gotta tell you some stuff P said today. Well he's just learned how to cut correctly with scissors and has been loving cutting up all kinds of paper. He also uses my punches too. Well this morning while cutting he says, "I'm scrapbooking like you Mommy!" Gotta love that...I'm rubbing off on him. I did take pictures, but I had to use my flash and since I'm a "photo snob" (wink Amy) I'm not going to post them. LOL

Then as he was playing with his playdoh on the kitchen table we hear sirens. Parker asks me, "Where could they be comin from?" Me, "I don't know!" P "They comin from the interstate!"

What! Since when does a 2 year old know what the interstate is. And yes we live less than a mile from the interstate and he was correct. Mind you we don't talk about the "interstate" a whole lot in our house. Hmmm...maybe he's been reading those darn encyclopedias again.

Anyway, that's a little tidbit of our day. Off to grab a quick bite to eat then I have a Pampered Chef party to go to.

New look!

So today I was tired of the blah and dreary look of my blog today and changed it. I have to say I like it MUCHO better! :) Oh and check out my banner! Thanks Amy for pointing me in the right direction.
This afternoon I didn't get much done, but I did *gasp* talk on the phone (and didn't mind a bit);). LOL Amy called to help me with the banner and we talked for awhile. She is sweetie and also the first jazzer I've talked to on the phone. Well then after she called I returned 2 phone calls that I got while on the phone with her. And I apologize for my whiney son in the background. Really I'm sorry he was a pill today. So after trying to talk/listen on the phone and Pman bugging me I had a headache and wasn't in the best of moods because of it. Bill ran to the store to get stuff for dinner and came home with these. Ahhh a man after my heart! I soooo LOVE him. Well my headache is gone, the boys are in bed, and Grey's is coming on. I think I'll have to pop on open and RELAX. Something I don't do very often. Thanks again Amy for your help!

Rain, rain!

A rainy day it is here in C'ville...finally! We needed it. We had to take advantage of the rain too and get our boots, rain jacket, and umbrella and go out and play. It only lasted about 5 minutes and was just long enough for me to get pics before it started pouring. The few pics I did manage to get of him looking at me were blurry so these are my fav so far. It's hard taking pics with a Walmart bag over your camera...LOL I was a sight I'm sure. ;)

Comfy kind of day!

Today was a busy day...not in the go everywhere kind of busy, but the keeping myself occupied and productive kind of busy. The kind of day where me and the boys decided it was PAJAMA DAY. We stayed in our jammies ALL DAY long. It was actually quite nice. While they napped I sewed another bag. Then I took pics of it. Oh I also took pics of the bathroom this morning but I had my 50mm lense on which wasn't a good choice...so I'll take more and post tomorrow. Then I managed to take pics of Cole while P was still napping and then when he woke up got some of him licking a Tootsie Roll and a Tootsie Pop. He's into licking everything lately. And pretty proud of it too, since most of it is "new" to him. Oh and after dinner Bill went outside and put the cover on the grill and comes in and says "we can't use the grill anymore!" Well there is a HUGE bird's nest in it...NICE! So the photographer in me puts Cole to bed quickly and runs outside to take pics while the lighting is still good. LOL It was a pretty awesome sight to see. Six little blue eggs and one amazing nest. That's my "busy" and "comfy" day in a nutshell.

Monday, Monday...

Today we visited with my Aunt Bianca, Uncle Larry, and cousin Chelsea for a little bit. They were driving through on the way back to Wisconsin. Thanks for stopping by guys we enjoyed the visit.

I couldn't resist taking these pics of Coley while I was changing him this afternoon. Him and all his chunkiness...LOVE it! He's started grabbing his feet when we change his diaper which makes diaper changes challenging. Oh and we call this spot his "HAPPY spot!" He's always so darn happy when we change his diaper or for that matter just lay him down on his changing pad. Most of the time he just giggles and giggles. These were a few of my favorites from today.

I just read the comments on the pics from yesterday. Yep, my kids were SPOILED by the Easter Bunny. Not so much candy though in the baskets but I bought some and also Steffen and Liz brought some with them. I haven't even eaten very much and I'm sick of it. Parker did lick a Tootsie pop for a bit and also tried a Tootsie Roll. He's eaten one before but just once. At least he tried it though. He's not a candy person.

Oh darn I forgot to take a bathroom picture...off to do that and hopefully post it tonight.

Happy Easter everyone! So here it is...what the Easter Bunny left the boys. The left side is Cole's the right Parker's. And for the record the big blue buckets came from the Liz and Steffen Easter bunny. :) Thanks guys you really didn't have to. Pman enjoying his new firetruck!

So not much going on today. Bill's putting some more finishing touches on the bathroom. The only thing that won't be done today is a mirror (still have to find one) and the top trim on the beadboard (still have to find the big trim with the ledge on it.) So today he's painting the doors for the cabinet and we'll hang the shower curtain. It is soooo much BRIGHTER! I can't wait to take a picture and share.

Sorry wasn't in the mood yesterday to post. Since I've gotten my new camera bag I haven't wanted to take my camera out...go figure!
So today I was talking to my Mom and Dad (on speaker phone) and telling them how we were NOT coloring eggs this year. I really didn't want to mess with it. Well they made me feel guilty about it and well shortly after we got off the phone I was at Target getting dye, easter grass, and more gifts from the Easter Bunny! So Mom and Dad these are for you...we even waited til Steffen and Liz came. Parker had fun and kept cracking the eggs. He always followed each "crack" with a "I'm sorry!" Too cute...I think he expected them to run all over the place like they "normally" do. Notice all the eggs are BOY colors...our pink dye didn't work at all. My one and only chance to have a little pink and I get cheated. But it was a sports ball egg coloring kit afterall! So here is Pman having fun this afternoon coloring eggs.
I totally LOVE the second picture...I'm thinking it's because P's hand is wrapped in Daddy's!


Oh and the Easter Bunny has already stopped by the house. You should see what he left my children...thanks Liz and Steffen. :) It seriously looks like Christmas since we got the kids stuff too! I will be taking pictures for sure in the morning when the lighting is better.

Ok, so my blogging break is over. We are home! It is SOOOO GOOD to be home again. We were pretty busy so I didn't have time to even update. So anyway here are just 3 pics I took while we were gone. Lovin this one of Coley even if his eyes are dark...looks like such a little man in his Gymbo outfit. Parker was in a coordinating shirt with the same pants that day...so cute! Thanks Gramma! And this cutie is just ADORABLE! I could just eat her up!
Audrey was just hamming it up for the camera. For those that don't know she is one of triplets. Lovin those pigtails.
So while away I turned 29 on Tuesday. I'm thinking that I liked the weekend more than my actual birthday...just a regular day with the added birthday wishes! Just going out to dinner twice with no kids was WONDERFUL to say the least! So I'm calling it my birthday weekend. LOL We had a great time visiting with most of our friends...missed the Davis' but hopefully we'll see them soon! Did quite a bit of shopping too this weekend! I actually have clothes to wear now. I also got my haircut...love it. It's still long but with more layers! Tina rocks!

Oh and for my birthday I got a Crumpler camera bag. I got the 7 million dollar bag and WOW I'm in love. I have all my accessories and my cameras in it with room to spare. The best part is it's RED and doesn't look like a camera bag at all. Maybe I'll take a pic of it today and share on here. So those that don't have a nice camera bag you NEED one of these. Seriously!

That's it for now, gotta do something more productive than sit at the computer today! LOL ;)
