Parker aka ROCKSTAR

So here it is...my post all about Parker! First off, I cannot believe he's just about done with kindergarten. Crazy stuff! Well about 6 weeks ago Parker started trying new foods. For those that don't know he's had issues with food since he was about 9 months old. He never really liked table food. Always splayed his fingers and such. When I was pregnant with Cole we took him to Nashville for therapy once a week for 6 months. With therapy he started eating pepperoni, chips, peanut butter, peanut butter crackers, and bacon. He had just turned 2 when we stopped going. So we've never really pressed the issue with him. We've been frustrated numerous times. We tried all the tricks and suggestions with him through out the past 3.5 years. To no avail. It hurt me more I believe and was in tears numerous times. And by basically giving up...and by that I mean giving it to the Lord, he is coming around. I wasn't going to worry about it any longer, trick him, or force him. I just couldn't do it. So one day I just gave it to the Lord to handle. And just asked Him to take the burden from me. Well I can say my prayer has been answered. God is good!
Parker has tried hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, carrots, corned beef, beef stroganoff, macaroni and cheese, pork chops, chicken, steak, popcorn, rice crispy treats, cookies, jello, roast beef, salami and spaghetti. I'm sure there are more that we are forgetting too. He didn't care for the jello, spaghetti, or the carrots! We actually have ordered him kids meals lately that doesn't include pancakes or cinnamon melts! ;)

So he's been a ROCKSTAR lately! We are so very proud of him! He is very proud of himself as well. And he MUST call Grandma Sue when he tries a new food too! So here's to Parker's new adventure in trying new foods!

A little of this and that...

After being a homeowner for 7 years I think I've finally figured out how to landscape. Thanks to Southern Living Mag for the inspiration for my flower boxes. I LOVE how they turned out and get prettier and fuller with each passing day. Although, Sunday after the 10+ inches of rain the flower box above the garage came crashing down. Thankfully, nothing was harmed...kids or cars...in it's falling. The flowers were jostled a bit, but I think they will survive.

My kids are THRILLED with the little things....like rain boots! They had outgrown the others they had so when I was at Target and spotted these on clearance I had to get them. I bought a pair for each boy. Yes, they are them same...didn't want to have to break up WWIII! ;) Cole wears his just about every time he goes outside. The neighbors get a kick out of him
and his boots...so do I!

Miss Chloe bug at 9 months! She is on the move. Two days ago I captured her on the Flip doing the army crawl. Yesterday, I watched her crawl but dragging one leg while up on the other leg and her hands. She looked kind of like a monkey. Last night, she crawled into the bathroom on all fours. As excited as I am for this huge milestone, it's bittersweet! My first baby girl, my last baby is growing up too fast! I want to freeze time and just take her all in. Every bit of her sweet self! She is such a Mommy's girl right now. I LOVE it...she has me wrapped around her little finger. She has Daddy wrapped too! "Da da" is her what she babbles right now and when Daddy comes home he's like a ROCK STAR! She gets so excited flailing both arms and kicking her little chubby legs, squealing in the utmost delight! Such a glorious sight to see which just melts my heart!

I haven't posted a pic of Parker lately because he DESERVES a post ALL to himself. He's been a ROCK STAR lately...stay tuned!
