Sweetness!

Parker has been such a sweetie lately...well 99.9% of the time. I think maybe its because it has been just the 2 of us together the past couple mornings while Daddy and Cole hang out. It's been so nice. Especially, since it's been almost 9 months since it's been just the 2 of us. He's been really polite and puts everything away...such a pleaser, LOVE IT! Edited to add: Oh by the way I figured out what Cole's runny nose and watery, nasty eyes are from...teeth! He cut the bottom 2 last night. It was an early morning for both of us too (5) because of the pain.

Beautiful morning!

Woke up this morning to a beautiful 55 degrees. Needless to say the windows were opened and we ate breakfast in the porch. So nice...if the rest of the summer would continue like today we'd be set.

P and I went to the pool this morning with Moms Club. The water was a little frigid but we survived. Then ran some errands. Hopefully I get most everything done on my to do list today so we can start packing. We leave Thursday to go to Wisconsin Dells. I'm so ready for a vacation to get out of the ordinary everyday routine. Need a change.

Photo challenge pics!

Well here they are. About 3 weeks ago I joined a Friday photo challenge, but the first week I was out of town and the 2nd week I was under the weather. Today's challenge was "keepin cool" so here they are...I couldn't decide between the 2 of them.
Last weeks challenge was "smells of summer!" Thanks to Parker and the use of his sand table this morning. He was aggravated with me but oh well.
The first weeks challenge was "round." While going through the swim bag for the sunscreen I saw the diving rings and it clicked "round."

It was perfect overcast day to take pics this morning. I might have to use all these pics to do a summer scrapbook page. Oh you can click on the links to "My bloggin friends" to see more photo challenge pics for the day.

Bored with baby toys?!

This is how we found Cole this morning after we got done eating breakfast. Why would this be surprising you ask. Well for one we sat him up on the rug with HIS baby toys surrounding him. He rolled and scooted (not quite a crawl yet) to the box of cars. Parker was watching his "shows" in the chair. So the cars and airplanes on the floor beside him he got out all by himself. Apparently those weren't the ones he REALLY wanted to play with either because he kept peering over the edge looking and grabbing for more. It was rather cute to see him already have his brothers LOVE of cars.

Didn't do so much today. Went grocery shopping with Cole while Daddy and P went to the firestation. Came home ate lunch then P and I went to Target to get him a backpack for school. He chose a Lightening McQueen one! This is how I found him late this afternoon while watching his movie. He's still not 100% yet.

Here are what the lights look like. They do look better at night rather than the middle of the day, but well that's when I had time to take the picture. :)

Went to the pool this morning. The boys only lasted about an hour and then were CRANKY. Luckily, for me they both fell asleep on the way home. Yay!

Successful...

In getting a photo of the boys together FINALLY! Yeah the background is kind of distracting, Cole's bink is in his mouth, and he's got tears in his eyes from not wanting his big brother near him, but I got it. Yay me! LOL Hmm and you can really tell here that P looks like me and C looks just like Daddy. Oh and too me they don't look much alike except for their noses.

Today was a good day. Didn't start off that way though. We decided to go to the preview service for a church that is just opening in our area. It was so what I needed this morning! Kids were in child care so we actually got to enjoy the service. I LOVED the way the service was...very contemporary. Love it. Bill said it was different but in a good way. I liked it because it's not all stuffy. It's fun.

Cole was better today, but well now it's Parker's turn. Yesterday since we came home from the pool P has been gradually losing his voice. So he's now very squeaky but it's oh so cute. His eyes were puffy today and we figured he didn't feel good when he climbed in his bed at 3:30 to go to sleep by himself. Germs gotta love em!

Oh and we have under cabinet lighting in the kitchen now. Yay! Looks so good. Maybe that will be tomorrows picture. LOL

I'm better...

Cole's not. Cole's been fussy and not sleeping well at all. That in turn means Mommy and Daddy don't sleep either. Last night it was me and the little boys in my bed (Parker wasn't sleeping very well either) and Daddy well, he went to the couch. He knew that if he was in the bed too he wouldn't be able to sleep because Parker always has his feet or some other body part in his back.

Today we went to the pool for a couple hours and enjoyed the HEAT, I mean cool water. :)Bill also got another project finished. We finally got the trim for the bathroom last weekend in IL and we painted it and it's up. Yay! We are also starting another project...under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. That'll be really cool when it's done.

Anyway, no pics today maybe tomorrow. Sorry.

Feeling a bit better today!

Today I feel much better than yesterday. The body aches are gone, yay! Almost 2 days worth of anitbiotics in me andon the road to recovery.Two days seems like forever when I have to take the meds every 6 hours and I still have 5 more days to go. Ugh! Thank goodness I didn't get it nearly as bad this time, or I caught it way early. :) Cole's a trooper this time and actually still nursing on that side. Hasn't affected him at all this time. Not in the least bit fussy like the whole month of December when I had it last.

Caught this pic of Mr. Smiley this afternoon playing in his room. I also added the vignette to it...playing with CS2. I checked some books out this week on traditional photoshop effects. This is one I've always wanted to do just didn't know how. Not sure I like it on this pic but I did it nonetheless.

Yucky day!

Well I've got it yet AGAIN...mastitis that is. Thankfully I think I caught it in the very early stages this time. I called the doctor last night at 10 so I could get antibiotics in me right away. They seem to be doing the trick. Knock on wood. My neck and lower back started aching last night, but hasn't progressed anymore. Thank goodness. So I'm just sore and pumping and dumping on the left side which is helping A LOT. Hopefully, I won't get any worse and Bill can still go into work this afternoon.

Oh and a correction on yesterday's post....Cole is Gramma Patty's BIG little boy! Oops and Parker is her little BIG boy.

I hope to post a pic today if I stay well. :)

My sweet little (BIG) boy!

That's what Gramma calls Cole...her little BIG boy! It fits doesn't it?! Today while P was at school we did a little shopping. I found these adorable little faux crocs at Payless for Cole in a size 3. He looks so cute in them. They actually stay on his chubby feet too. Another good thing the Payless shoes actually fit his chubby feet. Yay for that. I don't want to have buy Stride Rite shoes in the future. All of Parkers shoes I had kept are too small/narrow for Cole and he needs something to protect his little toes when he's outside in his walker. Got them 1/2 off too...even better! He's been constipated lately and apparently feels that he need some fiber....hence chewing on a board book. LOL :) No he really chews on everything and very rarely does he NOT have a hand or an object in his mouth. I even caught him up next to the dresser drawer trying to suck on the knob...silly boy.
I've realized this past week that I am the reason why Parker is such a picky eater. For one I am. Two, well I've been eating bean and cheese chimichanga's like everyday for lunch for oh about 4 weeks. (They are quick when I have 2 other mouths to feed) :) Can't eat them anymore...burned out. Then this weekend I had a bagel w/cream cheese for breakfast and lunch. And here I wonder why Parker wants to eat pancakes and yogurt for every meal. Hmmm. Yeah so it's me I've ruined him, I'll admit it.

So anyway, since I've had this ahhh ha moment about P's eating I've been giving Cole table food. Last night he had mandarin oranges in the mesh feeder and today he ate macaroni and cheese cut up. He hasn't met a food he doesn't like yet! Hopefully this continues.

Off to feed Parker and get ready to go across the street for the backyard bible club. Parker had a blast last night and they wore him out. Gotta give it to those baptists they sure now how to put on a good time for kids. I don't remember having near as much fun at bible school when I was a kid. :)

I'm back...went to IL for the weekend. It was a last minute type of thing. Feels good to be home and sleeping in my bed. :) Well the picture order is all messed up...the first should be last. Anyway, it's when we picked P up today from school....covered in dirt. Head to toe. A rose from my rose bush last week. One that the japanese beetles hadn't gotten.

Bill took P to the airshow on Sunday at Scott. He was a little HOT!
Today P walking into school. He didn't want to go, but once we all got in the van he was super excited. He ran into the classroom, hung up his backpack and was on his own. No "bye Mom" or anything. He was too interested in the other kids and playing. He had a blast and was covered head to toe in brown dirt. (Very top pic) Looked like he had make up on. It was funny. Miss Barb (teacher) also said that he did great with going potty by himself. AWESOME!

Fireworks!

Some fireworks from tonight. Thank goodness for neighbors that like to spend A LOT of money on the things. We decided to go swimming today instead of going to see the fireworks. Parker missed his nap because of swimming therefore wasn't in the very best mood to stay up for fireworks. I was kind of bummed because I wanted to get some photos...or try. Well I decided that I with all the noise shaking the house I should be able to get something at least. Good thing I hauled my hiney outside. I got some great shots. The neighbors behind us had some HUGE ones and since they were really close I got some good shots of those. Then some people down the street were setting some off too. Not so bummed anymore...got some good firework pics. :)

Took this one of Cole this morning while we were all playing upstairs. I think he's slimming out a bit or getting taller. He's been on the move lately between rolling and scooting around. Won't be long and we'll have a crawler.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!

Here are the pics from yesterday...the night shots didn't turn out too well. We couldn't go past the curb we were standing on. The MP's that were guarding right by us apparently didn't communicate either. One told us we could go to the yellow ribbon the other said LOUDLY where are you going? YIKES I thought he was going to take us all out. So we were only aloud to go the curb according to him.

I do have a picture for today but will have to wait until tomorrow to post it. Wasn't sure what my subject of photography was going to be today until Bill called about 2:30 this afternoon. He said the space shuttle Atlantis was at Ft. Campball piggy backed on a plane. He wasn't sure how long it was going to be there but wanted us to come and see it. So once the boys got up from their naps we headed to visit Bill at work. Parker thought it was the coolest thing...so did I. I've never seen the space shuttle in person before. It was pretty neat, but I have to say from the looks of it I would NOT go into outerspace in that thing. Just the thought that ran through my head as we gazed in amazement at it. So anyway, Bill kept the camera with him to try and get some better shots this evening of it. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

We were driving around downtown today and decided to stop at Dixon Park. Parker loved the caboose and the train. This was taken by Bill and is SOOC just bumped the contrast a teeny bit. I LOVE the colors in this. Another pics where both boys are LOOKING too! LOL
