11 months!

Can you believe it? I can hardly fathom the thought of me having a 1 year old and 3 year old in exactly a month. Geesh doesn't that make me feel old.
I wanted to go bumming around town and find good spots for some pics today, but since P still isn't feeling well we had to settle for our bed. And heres what I got...LOVE his big eyes.
The marriage conference by Dr. Gary Chapman was GREAT. I highly recommend you go if he's gonna be in your neck of the woods ever. You will NOT be disappointed. He's a HOOT too. I just wish Bill was able to go. I bought 3 of his books so I've got LOTS of reading to do. It was funny just to observe all the couples there. When it started everyone was just sitting in the pews had there own bit of personal space around them and as time went by the couples got closer and closer. Some were rubbing each others backs/necks and others had there arms around one another. Then at the end there was lots of smoochin and a huggin going on. I had to chuckle and was kind of jealous I didn't have my hubby to smooch on.

Under the weather...

3 of us anyway. Yesterday Cole's rash that he's had since last Friday was gone so we went to MOPS. It wasn't until we came home that he started spitting up and had diarhea. Nice! He wasn't fussy though like he had been Monday-Wednesday...constantly crying even after just getting up from naps. Whatever he had just confuses me because he didn't run a fever at all. Hmm, but he's fine now or so it seems.

Last night I wasn't feeling so hot...kind of achy and super tired. Woke up this morning feeling the same way. Took some Tylenol and a nap and Wham good as new! LOL

However, today before our "rest" as it's called now not NAP. P and I were playing when I put my hand on his back under his shirt (I was tickling him and blowing on his belly) he was on FIRE! So I take his temp 101.3 and he kind of looked really tired all morning to me and wasn't really in the mood to play either. Now I know why so again some Tylenol for him and a "rest" and he woke up good as new. Then tonight I felt his forehead about 8 and HOT again. This time it was 100.2 so I gave him some more Tylenol and he ate about 3 bites of yogurt and then fell asleep. He has no appetite either, skipped dinner and didn't eat much for lunch.

Tomorrow I'm going to marriage conference at First Baptist with a friend that has an extra ticket. It's on the 5 love languages. Should be interesting.

Tub time!

The boys in the tub tonight being silly. Too bad the quality of this pic sucks because I didn't want to use my flash. I'd really like to get a GOOD pic of them in the tub to hang in there. Maybe next time.

Didn't do much today but I did get my check in the mail from the consignment sale. I made $84.05 after the 2 fees and 30%. Not bad. So that'll go in the boys savings accounts.

The morning rush...

last night just before logging off I got an email for this:

So even though I got it last night I figured what the heck why not! So today's assignment was "the morning rush" so here are a few of the many shots I took this morning. The bottom 3 are the ones I submitted.
I got this idea in the midst of eating my pancake this morning and just got up from the table and went out to the porch. My family gave me some funny looks, but I think it turned out pretty cool! P dressing himself.

A Mozart and a...

Picasso! Parker had a blast painting today and mixing colors. Last week at school they learned about mixing so he's been really into that. It really surprises me though because at school most of the time he "chooses" not to do art the teacher says. He LOVES to do it at home!

I really nicely asked P if I could take some pics of him today. He said "sure!" P sitting on his toy box under his school work. This is a new favorite of mine.
One of his Ollie Trunks! That little plaid pillow isn't really his it's Coley's for his glider, but he claimed it a couple months ago. That's all he sleeps on now.

My camera was feeling a little loved today after me not even looking at it in a few days. This week has been crazy. One crazy thing after another happening. I'll spare you the details.
It's been beautiful here and we took advantage of that this afternoon by playing outside...a little remote control, Gator, and LOTS of BUBBLES! Boys have been in bed since 6:45...yay I get ME time. P didn't nap today and Cole got up at 3:30 from his nap and was ready. Hopefully it will be just as nice this weekend and we'll be able to go to the zoo or something.

Wow my 200th post today! A couple shots from today...was going for EYES (I Love eyes). Didn't quite get them on Cole but I still like this one from today. And then there are Parker's and WOW those blue beauties. I LOVE them! I could just look into their eyes all day long. :)

A little update on Coley...he's into everything. Like I said in my last post pulling up to everything and on the move. Well now he's also walking along furniture, standing for a few seconds at a time, and he even took two steps last night. We all saw it and cheered him on...he thought that was pretty cool! He's also up every 3 hours at night again...NOT FUN! Wants me of course and gets so disappointed when Daddy goes in the room to check on him. He doesn't even stand up for him he just sits there and cries harder then throws him self dramatically on the bed. It's hilarious how dramatic he is. LOL I think and hope it's only a growth spurt because he also took over a 3 hour nap this afternoon and he's NEVER taken one that long before. We can only hope the night wakings will end soon.

Anyway, didn't do much this weekend. Worked the Riverfest for Moms Club yesterday and went to church today. That's the extent of our excitement for the weekend. Not much going on this week either...yay!

Oh and HAPPY GRANDPARENT'S DAY! We kept telling each other we gotta call the grammy's and papa's today and well now the kids are in bed, but we thought of you all day today...Our kids couldn't be blessed anymore than they already with such AWESOME grandparents. Love you guys!

Busy, busy lately!

Sorry for my lack of posting lately. We've been really busy. Lots of stuff this week from board meetings to consignment sales to the Moms Club monthly meeting tomorrow. Yikes! I do have to say I have been on the ball today though and everything is ready for tomorrow and in the van ready to go. Yay me! So hopefully we'll get out of the door on time...haha yeah right! I have managed to take a few pics this week also. First one is of the new book Susan (my MIL) got me. I finally had time to read it Sunday on the way home from IN. I've also been stocking my pantry this week for ingredients for her recipes. The other day I made the strawberry and blueberry juices. Since then I've been putting real strawberry juice in his milk instead of strawberry syrup and he hasn't said a thing. It's still pink just and pretty much tastes like normal milk. I made Coley "banana ice cream" the yesterday for breakfast...he LOVED it! It was deliscious too.
Here's the recipe:
1 frozen banana (peel then freeze. Good for those bananas that are starting to turn brown. If your like me you don't eat them and normally they go in the trash. Until now!
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 tablespoon sugar

Blend it all together until smooth. First few minutes it's sounds a little rough. Serve and enjoy. Looks just like ice cream...just a bit runnier though, but so good. Cole is ALL OVER and into EVERYTHING since we got home Sunday. He spends most of his days standing now and holding up bookcases. LOL! It's a heavy one! ;) He's even standing on his own for a few seconds at a time. And here I thought the kid was lazy...he'll be walking by his birthday, watch!

This is such a GREAT picture of P so grown up, looking at me, nice smile, and even a little twinkle in his eyes. Except for the PURPLE nose. While coloring this afternoon he thought it
would be rather "cute" to color his face. Nice. I can only imagine what BOTH of them will look
like once Coley starts coloring too. At least it's not on the carpet or newly painted walls, right?!

We're back!

Went on a quick trip to Indiana this weekend for GiGi's surprise 80th birthday party. She was so SURPRISED and love every minute of it. I took a lot of pics but had to post these. (Patti I hope you don't mind this one of Brett.) Anyway, this is Brett, Bill's second cousin. He is such a ham and LOVES to pose for the camera. How could I resist this ?! And because I was taking Brett's picture Parker wanted to get in on it too. He just wasn't into "posing" and looking at me. Here's what I got of him...TRUE BOY! (I need to redo that pic the color is wonky.)

Anyway, I have lots more photos to work on and I'll post more as soon as I do that. This morning Parker and I slept in until 8:45...I think that is the first in over 3 years for me. I feel
so much better today! Not doing much today besides hanging out and enjoying the boys.

In our rush to get out on Friday I didn't have time to post about it but it was Bill's birthday.
HAPPY 31 st BIRTHDAY BABY! This year we spent both of our birthday's in the car and eating at McDonald's. Fun! We did go out Thursday night for his birthday dinner and gave him his new briefcase. He LOVES it...YAY!
