8 months old!

My Coley is 8 months old today. WOW...time flies. In honor of 8 months I had to do a photo shoot today. Looks like I'll have to edit this one some more looks a little dark for my liking compared to the second picture. Isn't this just too SWEET! It just screams ALL AMERICAN BOY to me. He wanted his picture taken today too, but wouldn't take off that darn shirt. Anyway, I'm glad he wouldn't because I love how this turned out. It's not the sharpest picture because that helmet was a bit heavy for him, but I just LOVE the look on his face.

Yes, I did get pics of Cole with the flag and helmet too. I just haven't had time to edit and was gonna save one of him for the 4th. :)

We have a hodge podge of photos today. The first is from this morning they were sitting in the chair watching tv. Cole was really tired here. Trying to get back on track with working with Parker and his eating. Giving him new food on his plate just isn't doing any good what so ever...he'd rather starve. And well he doesn't have anything to lose. He's actually still wearing 6-12 months swimsuits...him and Cole share. So anyway, this was lunch today. Mind you he doesn't and didn't even eat but a spoon of the peanut butter, 1 cheeto, and some pretzel sticks that aren't pictured. What we work on is smelling, kissing, licking and then putting it in his mouth. He'll kiss everything now and lick most things. Last night he even put corn, pea, carrot and a green bean in his mouth....although he gagged on the green bean.
And can you believe he's actually licking a banana...it's covered in sugar but hey whatever it takes. He also licked a strawberry. What I wouldn't give for him to actually start eating some of these things. He did eat some smashed banana in the mesh baby feeder before I gave it to Cole. Baby steps. Baby steps. I seriously don't know what I'm gonna do if he doesn't eat more than pancakes and yogurt. I am so SICK of pancakes it's not even funny. I dread making them.
Anyway, it's a rainy day here which we need so we are just hanging out at home playing today.

Today was PICTURE day!

My dear friend Kerrie took our pictures this morning. She was gracious enough to put the "good" pictures on a CD for me so I could decide which to order. Well I had to play with them. They were SOOC on the CD so I've cropped, converted to B/W, bumped curves just a smidge, and of course added her name to them.

My boys weren't very cooperative this morning. Parker was good for oh 4 pics while she was "testing" the lights. The second pic is during those "test" shots. Darn kid would barely sit still after that. Cole well he just doesn't smile for the camera unless Mom or Dad is right beside the camera acting like a goofball. So I don't think any of our family pics will Cole ever have a smile...I'm cool with that. Cole also didn't want anything to do with Parker today. Everytime we would sit them together Cole would start screaming and of course Parker had to pull on, hit, and pat him just to annoy the hell out of him. I guess they made up for the 30 minutes that they played together yesterday. Nice. P wouldn't take any pics unless well I was holding him. He was mad and just wanted to play. I do really like the one of us together and there are more where he is sitting and smiling too. Imagine that! :)

While making lunch for Bill and I today our boys were actually playing together. Well Parker was actually playing with Cole. Cole was loving it too. Parker would cover him with a blanket and Cole would lift it up just a giggling like crazy. They actually entertained each other long enough for us to sit and eat our meal too. Please tell me that this will continue as they get older...playing nicely together, that is.

John Deere boy

Such a serious little guy today. We've been borrowing Ryan's gator since they are away on vacation. Parker is loving it. It's so much faster than his Jeep and rides a lot better on the grass. Anyway, I've been trying for a couple days to get a good picture of him on it. Today I did.

This is one of the pics from the birthday party yesterday. Actually the only one I have edited because Bill needs the computer to do work stuff. So hopefully tomorow I can do some more. It was an AWESOME birthday with a carnival theme. From face painting, tickets, popcorn, and a huge blow up slide, it was ALL a hit with the kids. You name the game it was there. Just awesome...I've recruited her to helping me with P's party.

It was a group shower this morning. Easy and fast...specially with both boys. These were both taken in our bathroom. I love the light that comes in over the bathtub. Too bad I don't have good light like that in the rest of our house.

Anyway, gotta get ready to go to a birthday party for one of P's friends. (Both boys are napping right now too. I hope they wake up HAPPY.) Then when we get back Papa with the blue semi will be here. That will make Parker's day just seeing his semi. :)

HOT!

Parker playing outside this afternoon in his sand table. HOT...pretty much sums this one up. Oh and his expression is one we see A LOT of lately when we tell him to stop doing something. So this is Parker through and through these days. I bought 2 Japanese beetle traps on Tuesday. Well it's Friday and this one is half full and the other is completely full. Disgusting...where in the world do these darn things come from. I have yet to have a rose bloom because these darn beetles keep eating them. I've even sprayed my rose bush like 10 times this week and it's not working. I have about 8 buds ready to bloom and I'm hoping that I can at least have one bloom without it being eaten before it fully opens.

Pool day!

Went to the pool today. Had fun. Came home took naps.
My photography skills must have left me. I'm totally in a RUT!

Took this of P in the bath tonight. I was trying to play without using the flash. This is the best one out of oh about 75 pics I took. Most got deleted though. I wanted to get pics of both boys looking at me but Cole didn't agree with that so this is what I got. I even had my tripod out. Love the expression on Parker's face though.

Cole apparently doesn't want to go to sleep tonight and is crying...better go and check on him.

Can you say HUMID today? Whoa...but really we've been getting rain today off and on so I shouldn't complain. After naps today we went out to play for a bit. Took Cole's walker out today so he could actually get somewhere. That little guy is going to test his boundries for sure. Parker knows and has never really played down the driveway he just stays up on the big parking pad up by the garage. Not Cole, the stinker kept going down the driveway and I would push him back up to the garage and he would go back down. He's gonna be a child that gets into everything and tests my patience for sure. Anyway, here are a couple pics. Look at Cole's legs...so chunky I love em. The second pic P figured out that he could push Cole and had just backed him up. It was like bumper cars...too cute.

Been a long night. Had a MOMS Club board meeting tonight and we didn't get home until 10. I had some tired boys but they were GREAT for being up so late. Off to get some zzzzz's.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

I decided this morning we needed another family picture. So here it is. For Father's Day we gave Bill a cd with a slideshow I made of him and the boys. It turned out pretty good...thanks for the help and encouragement Steph. He really likes it and it brought both of us to tears this morning. I'm going to try figure out how to at least post a link here on the blog for everyone to view it. Let's just say I hope it goes better than Friday did. LOL

In my free time...

this is what I do. Lately besides scrapping I've also been stamping thanks to Nichole Heady. I met her at Bill's christmas party. Our husbands work together. Not only is she a FABULOUS stamper and just and all around FAB person she has her own stamp line. She designs them. www.papertreyink.com if you'd like to take a look. Anyway, I have to say I was kind of leary of my abilities as a stamper and card maker until I bought her faux ribbon set. Love this set it is my absolute FAVORITE. These are 2 cards that I have made lately that are worthy of showing off...simple but worthy. LOL :)The "ribbon" is actually stamped and SOOOO EASY!
Been scrapping too, although not as much as I would like. Just got a new order of pics but my mojo isn't back yet. Did this one this week about P's binkys.

No pics of the boys today. This morning Bill had the kiddos and took them swimming while I went to Bible study. This is the first time I've been to a Bible study and it's nothing like I thought. It's actually FUN! It's on The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian...so far so good.

Not much else going on besides working on a Father's Day gift. Hopefully I can do it right this time and haven't waited to the last minute. It's nothing bought but homemade and from my heart...I'm sure he'll love it. I hope. By the way he doesn't read my blog. Of course now that I said he doesn't he'll start so I'll leave out the details. Off to work on it.

What a mess!

Today we did a little running around. Since Parker was on his best behavior 98% of the time we stopped by Auntie Anne's in the mall and got a pretzel. He LOVES the cinnamon sugar pretzel's. Luckily we brought our pretzels home to eat because today he was EXTRA messy! Boys, they just LOVE to get messy and he was loving it for sure. He was also loving that he was "eating like a doggie." (No hands...seems to be a new thing he's into. FUN.) Here are a few of my FAVORITES!

Fun day!

Today was a rather fun day! We started out by bowling and finished the afternoon by swimming. I thought it would wear the boys out. Guess I was wrong because I'm holding one and one is throwing a fit in his room and it's 9:30.

Almost didn't get a photo today. I snapped this one of Cole tonight as P was brushing his teeth. Love it and all of his chubiness.

And for the record the b-day present for P from the McGuire's is a little over 2 months early. His b-day isn't until August 24. WOW now that I think about it, it will be here SOON and I'll have a 3 year old....ughh! Why can't they stay little like Cole for awhile?!

I just noticed as I was downloading pics that well I've taken 20,000 pictures with my Nikon. The counter is back to 0001 again. This being the 3rd time. Holy smokes that's A LOT of pictures.

Anyway, off to scrap now. I ordered a bunch of pics last week. Hopefully I'll get my mojo back. It's not been in a while.

The McGuire's gave P his birthday present early...today! The first scooter was missing a piece to one of the wheels so we had to head back to Target this afternoon and exchange it. He did learn after getting a boo boo on his foot that he needs to wear tennis shoes with socks to ride instead of his sandals.

Perfect day for...

flying a kite. It is WINDY here today. I'm mean REALLY windy. This morning we headed outside to fly Parker's kite. He was getting mad...who would've thunk, because it wouldn't stay up for him. So Daddy took over. Then I put the camera down and got out the Nemo kite and we both had them going for awhile. It was rather fun.

We decided to take a break from the pool today. It's so windy we'd be chasing everything we brought but it is HOT here today too. We've just been chillin at home today playing with trains and napping. I hope to go on a walk this evening...hopefully we won't get blown away.

Took some pictures of Cole today. I tried my hand at the white backdrop again. It just takes so darn long to edit them. So this is the only one I'm posting. I couldn't get the background completely white so I decided to play with the gradient feature. And voila...here's what I did. Not the best but I don't mind it.

Went to the pool this afternoon. Parker threw a fit because he didn't want to go, but as soon as we got there he wanted his swimsuit on...lucky I brought it. Cole loves the water too. We swam in the big pool today. Cole is so fun instead of just kicking one foot at a time he swims like a whale. While I hold his hands he moves the whole bottom half of his body up and down. It's hilarious but it works.

Not sure what to do tomorrow...pool again?!

Little man!

These photos are from yesterday...blogger was having issues last night so I couldn't upload. Anyway, the first is Cole during his bath getting ready to eat the John Deere tractor.In this picture he looks so grown up to me. Not to mention those jammies are 18 months and are NONE too big. I love his look in this picture too. Doesn't look too much like Daddy or me here. My baby is getting TOO BIG!

Yesterday was a busy day for us. We started out the morning with story time at the library. The summer reading program began so for the next 6 weeks we'll be at the library once a week. Both boys actually were on their BEST behavior. We came home ate lunch, Cole napped and then we went to the pool. The boys were a little cranky so we didn't stay long. Parker did finally manage to go into the 2 feet side of the kiddie pool. Just took a little help from Mom and then he wanted to do it by himself.

Off to run a few errands today. When Daddy comes home we are going to the pool. Parker said yesterday that he wants to bring Daddy to the pool. So cute. So after a change in Daddy's work schedule we'll have to settle for late afternoon.

Pool fun!

Went to the pool this morning. Parker was all decked out here ready to swim. The only thing that last were the goggles. Everything else except his suit came off. He's still a little leery of the water. I'm sure in a few more days we won't be able to keep up with him. Cole munching on an apple during break time. Our pool lets us bring food in...isn't that awesome. We can also bring whatever water toys we want too.
Brought my little point n shoot camera today. I didn't realize til after a few pics that the lense had Parker's finger prints all over it. Oops...so the first one was a little hazy, tried my best to fix it.

P just woke up from a 4 hour nap and Cole slept 3...life is GOOD! Off to the store for some milk.

I'm back!

Sorry we've had company he past couple of days...Grammy and Papa J. Parker had a BLAST as usual. We went to Dunbar Cave yesterday to feed the ducks and these are just a few of the many pics I snapped. LOVE this first one. I'm a sucker for anything that resembles a sunflower. LOL Then there are a couple more flowery ones that I liked.

Last night Bill took me to Cirque de Soleil...AWESOME! It was nice to have a night out without the boys. Just the two of us. After the show we walked downtown Nashville. We figured out that we are SO HAPPY being parents and staying home on Friday and Saturday nights. The bar scene is just NOT us. They were all crowded, LOUD, and smokey. So being the parents we are we settled for a stop at an ice cream parlor instead of a bar. Yummy.

That's what we've been up to the past couple days. We'll have more company this weekend...yay! Can't wait to see you Steph, Brian, and Maggie.

Gotta go figure out what to have for dinner. Later.
