Parkerman is 5 today!

Our biggest boy is 5 today! Can you believe it? We cannot believe it ourselves! It was only 5 short years ago that we were given new names of Mommy and Daddy! I'll never forget that day as it changed our lives for the better! We were blessed with an affectionate, loving, caring, smart, and silly young man. We can only hope that in the next 5 years he'll continue to grow in his pleasant ways. ;)

Todays agenda was left up to him. Last night he planned it all out...park, fire station, McDonald's, and Toys R Us. This morning when he woke up it hadn't changed. Since our friends were still here we decided to hit the park first followed by lunch at McDonald's. We played on the playground, went for a hike, and went creek stompin or wading for them. They were up to their waists in water. It was chilly but they had a blast. After Micky D's our friends headed back to IL and we headed home for a much needed nap for our middle child. Our day didn't start out great at ALL! After C's nap Daddy took the boys with him for a bit. When they got home we headed to the Toys R Us where P got to pick out a toy from us. ( We did it a bit different this year. We let him pick whatever he wanted to out. He has been wanting a new remote control car for a while now so that is what he got...a BIG one. Then we headed next door to end the day with a little Chuck E. Cheese. Again, they had a blast and ate pizza like it was going out of style. Then we came home and had some cake. He got to bed a lot later than usual so I imagine he'll be a little sleepy at school tomorrow, but you only turn 5 once right?! So I hope we made the most of his birthday this year. He did mention that we didn't have a big party, but I don't think he really minded because we've had 3 parties already with family. He's received presents and not too many...PERFECT if you ask me.

And what better way to start off his 6 year of life than heading to school all day, everyday! Fun stuff!

We love you to the moon and back P!

A few from today!

Just a few from today! I've taken way too many pictures this last week. I need to get busy and edit some so I can share. Grandma Patty, Uncle Steffen, and Uncle Michael came to visit last week so we have some with them. Then this weekend we went to the lake with Grammy Sue, Papa Bill, the Hadley's, and the Smith's. It was a quick visit, but we had a great time. The boys road jet skis and a boat. They also swam in the KY lake. YUCK! Chloe and I hung out in the condo and then did a little shopping. I forsee the boys doing there thing and us girls doing our thing in the future too. :)

Parker enjoyed his first day of kindergarten. We sent him on his way on the bus. It was way hard on me...I bawled like a baby! He did just fine though. He said the bus was fun, but really noisy. It was really quite around the house with him gone all day. I'm not sure how easily I'll handle it next week when he starts going everyday...or Cole for that matter.

The kiddos!

Posing for pictures last night during the storm. Of course it hit right at bedtime. So lucky
for them they got to stay up later...not so good when we are trying to get to bed on time at 8 since school starts Friday for P.

Trying to figure out who she looks like! Sometimes we see more of P and others we see Cole!
On their hike at Dunbar Cave with Grandma Sue! P still has his walking stick!
And the "biggest" brother holding his "sissy".

A few snaps

Cole and P love to lay by their sister. It's become a regular thing in the mornings. They are so good to her.
Grandma Sue and the kids! Thank you so much for taking care of the boys while we were in the hospital. They had a blast and keep talking about all the fun things you did together. In fact, they have been begging to go hiking and back to Jump Zone. Thank you for everything. We are truly blessed to have you as a Mother, Grandmother, and Mother-in-law!
Our first family of 5 photo.

Parker almost 50 times a day at least since bringing Chloe home says, "Mom, she is just so cute!"
Today he told me he just couldn't stop saying that. I told him I understood because she is pretty darn cute. I can't help it either when I just hold her and look at her and just start crying. It's amazing how a precious little newborn can bring so much love into a family.

Our last photo as a family of 4. Taken right before we walked out the door to the hospital.
Patiently waiting for Dr. Anderson to get the surgery started.
A crier she was!
Meeting the newest love of my life.

I'll have to dig up pics of the boys. She looks like both of them!
