Happy birthday Parker!

So far his birthday has been GREAT! Started out the morning with breakfast in bed (Mom and Dad's bed). Loved that! Then he got his big birthday surprise from Grandma Patty and Grandpa Paul...John Deere Gator. At first he didn't think it was his because Ryan across the street has one. Then he finally realized it was his and got really EXCITED. Drove it around for about 30 minutes before we couldn't take the heat anymore. Now we are heading to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch...good times today!

3 years ago today...

I was in labor. At about this time I was just getting home from going to work to get my paycheck and depositing it in the bank. It was raining cats and dogs and my contractions were every 5 minutes by then. While at work ( which was just across the street from the hospital) I called my OB's office and they told me to go ahead and go to labor and delivery. Well I was like no I'll go home and rest besides Bill had just left for work at 2 and I couldn't possibly call him and tell him to come home already. When I got home well I couldn't rest obviously and spent the next couple hours of labor typing to Steph and then we chatted on the phone. I also talked to Jamie and Bill (when I told him to get home NOW.) He came home and I tell ya I had the WORST contracton ever I started crying...at that point I just wanted my mom. Oh and she had just left our house the evening before to go back home. Called her too and told her to come NOW as I was on the way to the hospital. She lives 4 hours away so now wasn't nearly possible but she did make it. Anyway, here is a pic of me in labor just after getting settled in my room...3 years ago today. And here is our precious baby Parker that was born at 12:09 a.m. via c-section on the 24th. He had a cone head because he didn't want to come out and was face up...they didn't know that at first when I started pushing.
Brings me to tears just looking at these pics and remembering that day. Birth is just so amazing and being a Mommy is too. I've certainly been blessed with 2 absolutely wonderful little boys that fill my days with lots of laughs, hugs, kisses, and I love yous...messes, dirt and poopy diapers, boogy snots on my sleeves, and little cars under my feet. I wouldn't trade a minute of it either...well maybe a couple of the tantrums that P had decided to start throwing, but that too shall pass.

Finally some photos!

Bought a card reader today so I could post some pictures again. I picked up the camera Saturday after letting it sit for over a week and have been taking pics here and there. Definitely not like I normally do...of everything.
So here P is yelling NO at me because he doesn't want his picture taken. That just made me take more pics...when will he learn. :) The boys riding horse together in their new playroom. Lots of room for them to spread out when they play.
P's first day of preschool was today. He had a blast and decided this morning of all mornings to sleep in. I had to wake him up at 7:50. School starts at 8:30. I'm sure he'll be up at 6 tomorrow though.
His new backpack that he was excited to show his teacher. Oh and his new shoes...he's so proud of those darn things. You would think he never had shoes before. I swear he has so many he must be a "girl." (A little inside joke between me and my mom.)

Fly by posting!

This is a fly by post. Still very busy. Painting is done. I have a BIGGER scrapbook area now. WOOO HOOO...I'm really excited about that one. Can't wait til Steffen and Liz take the rest of the furniture tomorrow. Have some awesome plans for my scrapping desk for the kids. Yep, double duty. Hmmm, oh Coley greeted me this morning after his nap STANDING UP in his crib. Fun times and also time to lower his matress....cry, cry that means he's growing up. I'm not ready and I'm really NOT ready to have a 3 year old in less than a week.

Off to finish organizing my scrap space and then moving on to toys. I totally had some energy this morning and shampoo'd the carpets. Check.

Oh I did take pics this morning of the boys, but now that I have a new printer I don't have a card reader. That's next on the TO BUY list.

I am alive! :)

Just checkin in! I'm crazy busy here on the homefront. Painting. Planning. Buying. Organizing. Ughh does it ever end...for a playroom for the boys. Also trying to get everything together for P's birthday party on the 25th. It'll be fun but is kind of stressin me out. Been busy with Moms Club too. Activities ALL the time and being creative director is wiping me out. Haven't been to a meeting yet since I've gained this NEW title, but just found out I'm to plan a craft, 2 games, and find a book or 2 for each monthly meeting to read then give away. Umm HELLO who is gonna watch my children while I'm entertaining 40 others. Ya....umm I dunno!

I'm here just a little busy and stressed haven't even grabbed the camera in probably a week. That's sad.

a GREAT DEAL at Toys R Us today! Got this kitchen today for P for only $26.26 original price 69.99! I told you it was a GREAT DEAL. They are rearranging our store and must be getting rid of the displays. Found this and another outdoor kitchen (with all accessories shown) as we rounded the corner by the bikes. Price tag said $30.90. I was like cool...called Bill who agree great deal, go with it. We had wanted to get this kitchen for him this past Christmas but didn't. So anyway I go up to pay for it and 2 bubble blowers and my total was 31.97. Not too bad huh? I looked at the receipt and I got an extra 15 % off I guess because they were all clearance items. We came home and Parker played with it until nap time. I love that it's small and very easy to move. This one is from last night. We were going stir crazy in the house so at about 6:30 we headed out to the sauna. I didn't think it was too bad and then I look at P and his face is beat RED. All we were doing is bouncing his Spiderman ball back and forth to each other. So it was a little on the warm side. P also went to the dentist for the first time this morning. He did FABULOUS. He was such a big boy and even went in all by himself. That was kind of hard for me because he's only 2....he NEEDS me still right?! Umm guess not. No it wasn't bad at all. They just looked at his teeth today and will get them cleaned in 6 months. We have to see if he still has the heart murmur first to see if he'll need anitibiotics then. He has 4 molars coming in too. Fun, but they don't seem to be bothering him. So he's happy, got a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and a new dinosaur flosser. Anyway, I might be a slacker the next few days because my mom and brother are coming to visit. It should be a good time.

It's official...

Coley weighs in at a whopping 21 pounds! He had is 9 month check today. Everything looks great. We are starting him on Miralax which is a laxative to get him more regular. We've tried everything else so this is the last resort. I sure hope it helps. The only other thing was he has fluid in his ears but he didn't seem too concerned with that since he's not fussy or feverish. No shots today either...YAY! Little bugger does the army crawl now but only when he absolutely wants me...which has been 3 times since we've been home from vacation. I mean actually crawl for more than 2-3 feet. The 3 times it's been from the living room by the window to the kitchen or from his bedroom to the kitchen. Most times he just lays on the floor and fusses until someone picks him up. Doctor says he's smart, I say he's lazy! ;) He also cut his 2 bottom teeth also while we were on vacation. They are pretty sharp too. That's pretty much what's going on in Coley's world right now.
