Another Parker post!

Parker had his 3 year old check up at the doctor today. He weighs 28.5 pounds and is 36.5 or 36.75 inches tall...can't remember exactly. Dr. says he looks great. Poor P did have to get his 1st Hepatitis A shot today. Poor thing didn't like it at all and I don't blame him took 3 of us to hold him still. And get this he was freaking out more over the bandaid they usually put on it. He does NOT like bandaids at all. I think that was because he got his flu shot last fall and they put one on his leg and he remembers that. I told the nurse that beforehand and she said it was just weird that she couldn't put one on after she gave the shot. For being such a brave boy we went for donuts at Shipley's afterward and then to the park. I told P that donut holes would help his shot. After we sat down at Shipley's to eat he said, "Mama, donuts don't help my leg!" I told him you have to eat them first and then well he never mentioned it again. Too funny. Here are my favorites from the park today.

Another Parker funny from today. We were driving around and he was asking what everything was as we past. One was KMart and beside it was Food Lion (grocery store). He chimes in oh Mama is that where all the food is for the lions. We laughed, but it only makes sense to him right?!

Party pics!

Here are some party pics in random order...I quickly edited them so I could post (most still need lots more work.) Oh and a HUGE THANK YOU to Susan (my mother-in-law) and Bill (my father-in-law) for traveling 4 hours just for the party...they left afterwards. Without her the food wouldn't have been served, the watermelon wouldn't have been cut, mac n cheese not cooked, and she even cleaned up all the food. Thanks to Bill for cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs and for helping my Bill move things around before the party and take down afterwards. We are so BLESSED to have such wonderful parents to help make P's party run so smoothly. Many, many thank yous to you guys. You really don't know how appreciative we are for everything you both did. Love you guys!
Family pic. I appliqued racing flags on the back of our shirts and I put crew chief on the front of P's. And no I didn't lose the battle with a razor on my leg. I just got in a fight with a piece of wood at Home Depot...I lost!

The pinata was pretty cool...you pull the strings and only 1 opens it up. Less casualities that way I guess. LOL

I made the cake. Yep I made it...although it almost didn't make it because well I have a temper and things just weren't going my way while decorating it. LOL but it survived. I did the top and Bill did the sides...I have to say his stars were way better than mine. I told him if he ever needs a job he'll have one as a cake decorator. I've also gave him the cake job for the next umm 18 years or so for they boys. Turned out well and it was SUPER YUMMY!
The monster truck bouncy was a hit with the kids.

P racing.
These are the race cars I made out of boxes...so much fun, for me and the kids.

The party was a....

SUCCESS! A lot of preparation but so worth it to see how much fun those kids had. The bouncy monster truck was a hit of course and kept them entertained. It was however so HOT it was in the 100's again. Yikes but we did get some cloud coverage that helped and then the sun went behind the trees. I'm downloading the pictures now so it'll be tomorrow before I get to post them. I'm tired. :)

Birthday pics!

Breakfast in Mom and Dad's bed...he sneaks in bed with us in the middle of the night sometimes. His NEW gator that he LOVES.
Taking his little brother bear for a ride. Cole loves it too.

The birthday boy having a BLAST.

Happy 3rd Birthday Parker!

Happy birthday Parker!

We love you LOTS and LOTS!

So far his birthday has been GREAT! Started out the morning with breakfast in bed (Mom and Dad's bed). Loved that! Then he got his big birthday surprise from Grandma Patty and Grandpa Paul...John Deere Gator. At first he didn't think it was his because Ryan across the street has one. Then he finally realized it was his and got really EXCITED. Drove it around for about 30 minutes before we couldn't take the heat anymore. Now we are heading to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch...good times today!

3 years ago today...

I was in labor. At about this time I was just getting home from going to work to get my paycheck and depositing it in the bank. It was raining cats and dogs and my contractions were every 5 minutes by then. While at work ( which was just across the street from the hospital) I called my OB's office and they told me to go ahead and go to labor and delivery. Well I was like no I'll go home and rest besides Bill had just left for work at 2 and I couldn't possibly call him and tell him to come home already. When I got home well I couldn't rest obviously and spent the next couple hours of labor typing to Steph and then we chatted on the phone. I also talked to Jamie and Bill (when I told him to get home NOW.) He came home and I tell ya I had the WORST contracton ever I started crying...at that point I just wanted my mom. Oh and she had just left our house the evening before to go back home. Called her too and told her to come NOW as I was on the way to the hospital. She lives 4 hours away so now wasn't nearly possible but she did make it. Anyway, here is a pic of me in labor just after getting settled in my room...3 years ago today. And here is our precious baby Parker that was born at 12:09 a.m. via c-section on the 24th. He had a cone head because he didn't want to come out and was face up...they didn't know that at first when I started pushing.
Brings me to tears just looking at these pics and remembering that day. Birth is just so amazing and being a Mommy is too. I've certainly been blessed with 2 absolutely wonderful little boys that fill my days with lots of laughs, hugs, kisses, and I love yous...messes, dirt and poopy diapers, boogy snots on my sleeves, and little cars under my feet. I wouldn't trade a minute of it either...well maybe a couple of the tantrums that P had decided to start throwing, but that too shall pass.

I Love you Parkerman!

Finally some photos!

Bought a card reader today so I could post some pictures again. I picked up the camera Saturday after letting it sit for over a week and have been taking pics here and there. Definitely not like I normally do...of everything.
So here P is yelling NO at me because he doesn't want his picture taken. That just made me take more pics...when will he learn. :) The boys riding horse together in their new playroom. Lots of room for them to spread out when they play.
P's first day of preschool was today. He had a blast and decided this morning of all mornings to sleep in. I had to wake him up at 7:50. School starts at 8:30. I'm sure he'll be up at 6 tomorrow though.
His new backpack that he was excited to show his teacher. Oh and his new shoes...he's so proud of those darn things. You would think he never had shoes before. I swear he has so many he must be a "girl." (A little inside joke between me and my mom.)
