Bad Blogger!

I've been a bad blogger lately, sorry! I've got a major project going on right now (staining our kitchen table and chairs) and it's taking forever. Yeah silly me starting a project right before the holidays. So heres a couple from yesterday. The boys were in the toybox emptying all the toys out. Hey, it occupied them for about 25 minutes. lol
Update on Coley. He's walking like 6-7 feet at a time now. He even tried running a little tonight he was so excited to get to P's Lucky Ducks game. He's got another tooth and possibly another...it's been a few days since I last checked. That makes a total of 5 possibly 6. Eats everything in sight. Oh and get this he SIGNS. Finally after signing to him for 4 months this past week he has signed "eat" and "drink." He's been doing "all finished" for a few weeks now. I however don't think he's going to be our most polite child as he's not using please and thank you. He points and screams a lot instead. He's also into tantrums big time. Been taking lessons from his brother I guess. It's all or nothing with him. He also loves tractors just like P and today he screamed and wanted down as we passed them coming out of Lowe's. He wanted to "drive" them like P always does. The funny thing is P wasn't with us. He's also starting to say "bye" and wave all the time. He's been clapping a lot too. I think thats about it for him.

Update on P. Well he's still 3 and thinks he can do whatever he wants. Today it was so funny. I bought a rotisserie chicken from Sam's for dinner. Here is our conversation:
P: Mom what's that?
me: A chicken?
P: an animal?
me: yeah a dead one
P: Oh Mommy put it away don't eat it! You can't eat it Mama NO!
me: Look see it's just meat!
P: No mama covering his eyes! (He was freaked out about a turkey on the tv this morning too and was covering his eyes then too and saying turn it off, turn it off.) LOL
me: Oh honey it's just a big hunk of meat!
P: haha Mommy I'm just kidding it's not an animal, it's just a big hunk of meat!

I think he's going to be a vegetarian at this rate. Oh wait I guess he would have to eat veggies then, right?! LOL Lucky for us he got over it before we ate or we would have been pretty hungry.

Not sure if I'm going to be a better blogger this week...busy busy and traveling to IL.

The zoo!

Yesterday we spent the day at the zoo. Perfect weather and not so many people. I tried getting a picture of the boys together for christmas cards but that didn't so much as happen. It was mostly P goofing around. Ughh I even bribed him which just got him to look at me...god forbid he SMILE. Gee whiz! :)
P.S. Something is seriously wrong with blogger. I can't view any of my new posts (this one and the last one) unless I go into edit posts and view. Hmm.

ughh!

Trying to upload pics and there is an error. Oh well I've tried twice. I'll try again
in the morning.

Oh and I've tried to change my music but apparently I can't access it anymore. I've
tried changing my password and getting it emailed to me and both have failed. I could delete it but well I really don't want to do that. So there ya have it.

Cherry Pie!

I've been craving some cherry pie and tonight I satisfied that craving. I finally used my new pie plate I bought a couple months ago too. I was a little creative too. ;)

Not too much of an exciting week. My camera has sat in its bag since Monday until tonight. Nothing new really to take pictures of. Well Cole and his walking but that's pretty hard to capture without video. I've done that but I'm really to lazy read the manual to see if I can download it to the computer...the camera is about 5 years old or more.

Cole's walking more and more. Yesterday he was walking A LOT and we were so proud of him. He even started clapping while walking. My baby is too big!

Tonight Cole was taking a couple steps from the couch to the coffee table, fell and hit his forehead on it. He has a nice goose egg on his forehead above his right eye. Nice.(I'm surprised I didn't get a picture of that.) He was himself about 10 minutes after it happened. I was the wreck. Oh and today I trimmed up Cole's hair a bit. A little around the ears and at his neck. The curls are still there, he just doesn't have bozo hair quite so much. Daddy wanted me to cut his curls off but I'm not ready. I've learned my lesson there with P. So I'll keep them as long as I can this go around.

P is still a feisty 3 year old. Tests our patience EVERYDAY, but we love him.

Hopefully I'll be better with the camera this week.

I took this the other morning of Coley playing on his firetruck. He LOVES that thing the past few days. Since he's starting to walk more he likes to walk behind while he pushes it. If you look closely you can see his 2 bottom teeth. LOL I can't wait til I can capture a pic of both the top and bottoms...looks so funny right now.

Well chunky monkey had his 12 month well baby visit on Friday. He weighs in at a whopping 23 lbs. 11 oz., 29 inches long, and has a HUGE head. So for his age he's kinda chunky, a little short, and has a HUGE head. LOL He got 4 shots and didn't do too bad at all. No fussiness at all afterwards, yay! I surprised Parker and got his flu shot too while we were there. He didn't like it and cried for a total of like 2 minutes, shook his leg, and then said "lets go to Shipley's to get some ball donuts (donut holes)." He just wanted those donuts and they took his mind off the shot.

Well our prayers for a babysitter were answered last week. A nice high school girl that lives like 6 houses down too...who knew. All it took is me telling about everyone I know at church and then some to find one. Rick, our neighbor, taught her last year and introduced me to her. She babysat Friday night for us while we went to bible study. It was her 1st time babysitting and well our first time having a sitter. Worked out well though. Cole was in bed before we left and Parker watched Blues Clues the whole time...thank goodness for On Demand. So all was well on that front and I think she wants to babysit again. Yay! I think that means we might actually be able to have "date nights" on a regular basis rather than like 2 times a year.

Not much else going on here.

Photos from the past 2 days!

Did a little shoot at home of Cole on his birthday. Had to do them in his "birthday suit" just one last time...he's getting too big. Went to lunch at Chuck E. Cheese. The boys had a blast, so did Gramma and I!
Got this one of him standing up. He's doing that more and more and will even bend down and pick stuff up and stand back up again by himself. He's even taking a few steps at a time.
After eating his cupcake I had to put on his party hat, which he hated.
The boys and Gramma ready to go in their costumes. We went to First Baptist's fall festival. That was way more fun than trick or treating. Lots of inflatables, candy, and food and it was all
FREE.
Lastly, our pumpkins. Bill did the pirate ship. I did the "upside down bat"! LOL I put the pattern on upside down...silly me!
Mom did this one. I also carved a small jack o lantern for the boys...not shown.

My SWEET baby boy is ONE!

It's been a year already since God blessed us with this sweet, precious baby boy. It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital loving on him and getting used to the reality that I was a Mom of 2 sweet boys. It was a rough start for all of us especially our first night home, but we prevailed. I wouldn't trade any of those sleepless nights or even my 3 bouts of mastitis for anything. Well maybe the mastitis...that HURTS pretty bad. It's amazing how much they grow in year. From newborn diapers to size 4, no teeth to 4, strictly nursing to eating everything he can get his hands on, being immobile to taking a few steps, litte newborn cries to screaming with delight and saying Mama and Dada (there still is screaming just LOUDER), preemie sleepers to size 18 months, and from 6 lbs. 5 oz to 23 lbs. I can't wait to see how much our Coley grows in this next year and what new adventures he'll bring for ALL of us.
As I type this it is FINALLY sinking in that my baby is ONE today! I'm in tears, both happy and sad ones.
We LOVE you COLEY MONSTER!
