The look!

This is Cole's signature look! Although, when he really does it there is not even a slight little smile like pictured. This morning he cracked us all up while eating breakfast. He gave me "the look" after telling him not to do something. We couldn't help it, we laughed and laughed. I had to capture it tonight and share.

In other news...Parker ate 5 bites of pizza tonight! Not only did he eat it he asked for it himself. We did the quick, easy, and cheap route tonight with Little Caesar's. He told me he only wanted to eat 3 bites but it was so good he decided to eat 5! He also asked if we could save some pizza so he could show Daddy in the morning! I am thrilled to say the least. This may seem so small to some but is a HUGE accomplishment for us!

Today's deals!

Target deal all this for 8.79. The salsa was free and I had 86 cents in overage. The Aveeno I got for 1.49 a piece after using $2 off coupons. The body wash was 2.54 a piece after a coupon.
My first stop was Walgreens! I bought all of the above for $5.89 and got back $5 in register rewards. The razor was free and the cereal was free. The refill cartridges for the razor wer $1.18 after the overage from the razor. The Jane tinted lip gloss was .39 after a using a $2 off coupon (it was on clearance too!) The Burt's Bee was on clearance for 1.69 and I used it as a filler. So with the RR the above only cost me 89 cents! Rock on!

My newest find/project!

So here it is...a little ugly right? But this will be Chloe's dresser. I had a few minutes to spare before picking up the boys today so I stopped in the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I found this diamond in the ruff for only $20! I got my tape measure out and called Bill. I always have to get his opinion even if he's not there. Although, I knew I just HAD to get it regardless. It's just one of those things you can really put anywhere (once redone of course!) So today I sanded it and took off those handles which were terribly beat up. I'm so excited I can hardly wait to finish it.

I'm doing Chloe's room in shabby chic. I ordered the bedding last week...should be coming anyday now. It's from Target and is the Candy Patchwork (see above pic)...simply adorable if you ask me. So I'm going to paint the dresser white and also get some turned feet to put on it...it's about 4 inches to short. I'm going to get some pink glass knobs for the drawers and possibly order some shabby chic resin rose things (ebay) to glue on it to make it more girly. I hope to find some cute floral shelf paper to line the drawers with as well. It will probably turn into a $100 project, but it sure beats the one I found locally that is an antique and was $200. The drawers on this one pull out as smooth as butter too. So excited and can't wait to post an after picture.

Parker's first soccer game!

Considering Parker knows NOTHING about soccer he played pretty good today. He was a ham running around the field. Not paying any attention to the ball but giving me big cheesy grins for great pictures. So like most parents we were yelling "Watch the ball!" most of the game. It was quite humorous really! Before the game I really dreaded it...bad mom I know. I really enjoyed myself though and can't wait to see what next weekends game brings.

A heads up on deals this week!

Old Navy has all their baby stuff $5 this week. I went today snagged a couple outfits for Chloe and an outfit for a friends little guy and saved over $50. It's only on baby stuff not toddlers though.

Kmart is also having double coupons again! Ours in Clarksville is. You'll have to go to Kmart.com and check you local ad. If your store is having double coupons it will be in a red box in the bottom left corner of the ad. I do know that Fairview Heights & Belleville, IL stores are not doing double coupons...sorry guys!
(edited to add: I went today and bought 67.99 worth of stuff for 24.26. Not bad considering 2 items were $5 (Goldbond Ultimate Lotion) a piece and 2 items were 2.79 (Resolve). I amazed my sister by getting Colgate Advanced Total toothpaste for .29 and Bic Soleil disposable razor 4 pack for only 1.49. I also got the Ziploc twist and lock container packs for $1 a piece.

I've snagged some great deals the past couple weeks that I haven't posted on my blog. This week I have $26 in register rewards to use at Walgreens. I wonder how well I can do this week.

My boys and their firetrucks...

do I really need to say more? This is NOT one of Oak Grove's finest, but a DEMO! Daddy called us up right after P got his kindergarten shots on Tuesday to tell us to
come check it out. So we did...thankfully that helped ease the horrid pain P was in because of the shots. You would have thought they cut of his legs! Little does he know in 2 weeks we go back for 2 more. Anyway, we headed to the station and then followed the caravan to City Hall to show it to the Mayor. The boys thought the ladder spinning around was really cool and Cole (while being held by Daddy)told him, "Oh Daddy watch head!" as he put both of his hands on Bill's head and kind of ducked himself as it went over their heads. It was too funny! Parker even got to climb the ladder. They had lowered it close to the ground and he climbed to the top of the truck. He was thrilled to say the least and not scared a bit!

A couple of the boys from last month. I never got around to editing them until tonight. Cole wants to "shave" now everytime Daddy does.

Not much new here. Parker and I got a stomach bug this week. Thankfully mine lasted only 2 days. Only one day where I was completely non-functional as a parent and a wife. I slept and woke long enough to eat. If I didn't eat I felt as if I was going to pass out. Stomach bug and pregnancy together, NOT FUN! P had one bout of vomiting and then was good. He's our diarrhea guy! Luckily he's been feeling good today no bout of it. He is still complaining that his belly hurts though. It always takes him a few days or more to get rid of stuff like this. He's had no milk or yogurt for 2 days...thankfully he has waffles.

Cole is doing great. Talks up a storm and wants our undivided attention at almost all times to show us his newest "trick" or to watch how "super fast" he can run down the hallway. He's our sports boy and loves to play catch and is really good at it too. He's recently taken to kicking balls as well. That however, doesn't work so well in the house...for mommy anyway. The boy is ALWAYS eating. From the time he gets up from his nap in the afternoon to when he goes to bed he's "I hungy Mama!" So
it's been fruit, fruit, fruit and then whatever I have left to give him that doesn't require me to fix him a whole other meal. I hate to see his appetite when he's a teenager.

Here she is!

Chloe Ruth...we decided on a name. I had a doctor's appt. today and asked if I could get some pictures of Miss Chloe because well the cd they gave me at the ultrasound that was supposed to have 20 pictures had NONE. It was a blank cd. I was upset to say the least. So they obliged to my request and although they are not nearly as good as the others were they are pictures. She was very modest today, but opened her legs for a fraction of a second so we could see her "hamburger!" I was relieved that nothing popped up. lol So here's our little princess. We are so excited for her arrival. Parker was even planning our next Disney World vacation this morning and what he was going to do with Chloe. So fun! I'm so excited about Parker having a little sister...he's going to be great with her. He's going to love on her so much! So exciting.
